I just purchased a 150-T ecig from esmokers Canada and some 16mg juice from Canada e juice. Im wondering your opinions on them! I have tried so many quit smoking tactics to no avail, so I now am going to try and replace analogs with something awesome! I am a half a pack a day smoker of john player standard silvers. So not a super heavy smoker (depending on the day) I don't get the morning hack and can work out without losing my breath very much. I would love anyones input on these products and am looking forward to meeting everyone!

I started out with a small 510 kit myself which is where most of us started. 16mg with a 510 kit should be about right, if you switch to a better device like an ego and clearomizer I would drop it down to 12 mg.

The 510 kit didn't work for me but could tell from using it that a better device would give me better success.

I don't regret purchasing my cigalike kit since personally wouldn't have jumped into the ego batteries as a first device.

ah crumb I think I had a blond moment haha.
Esmoker 510-T Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit here is the link.
Apparently I am having a stupid day today.

Here is a link for the juices

E-cigarettes E-cigs E-Juice E-Liquid Ontario British Columbia Alberta Quebec Saskatchewan

Sorry about that!!! :(

No need to be sorry!!! Its easy to do - everything is an abbreviation or a bunch of ridiculous #s! The links are perfect!

So what you got is a basic 510 cig-a-like - it works for some and it will in the worst case (not necessarily your case) always be a reliable back up. Some find the cig-a-likes are perfect and preferred - some need a little bit more "umph" and go for larger devices down the road. Regardless of which route you go later - it is more than sufficient to help you quit smoking now!

You will probably find you will want a second and/or third battery (also PCCs - Personal Charging Cases are great). They dont give a Mah rating - but the "300" puffs would indicate to me, its a pretty standard capacity for those little guys and one will not last you through a day. To maintain the small form factor - it cannot be expected to last an exponential amount of time on the battery it is capable of accommodating. This is not, by any means, a fault - just something for you to be aware of and expect.

A huge plus is that with a 510 battery you can use any 510 cartridges for it :) So shop the online deals and stock up whenever you see them on sale!!

The juice company has a lot of variations in PG/VG ratio and nicotine - which is always a big plus and it looks like there are some youtube reviews on them too that you can check out :)

Overall - you made fabulous purchases!!! Just get at least one backup battery as soon as you are able - you will be glad you did!!!

General rules - stay hydrated and have backups for your backups backup!

Its been a while since I have done anything more than prime a carto in my 5ml carto tank - but I recall something like 20-25 drops? They usually hold about 1ml of eliquid. I am sure an awesome ECF member will come along with a precise # if I am off in my memory!!

And waiting for vapemail is the HARDEST part LOL. It never gets easier. I am pretty sure my mailman thinks I am a stalker....

Try some flavors that appeal to your appetite! It definitely helps. Check out fruits, candy, bakery etc. flavors. Some find vaping them helps with appetite control. :D

I havent done the whole stuff my face with food thing that I have done every other time I have quit. lol.

oh another question! Did anyone experience weight gain at all? I am TERRIFIED of weight gain. or any withdrawl symtoms when you switched from analog to digital ;) Thank you guys!

People gain weight when they quit smoking because they replace the nicotine with food. If anything, you will probably lose a few pounds with a PV, because you will have more energy and you will want to get out there and do more.
You shouldn't have any "withdrawal", simply because you aren't withdrawing. You are getting your nicotine.
Vaping is not as easy as smoking. There is maintenance and learning involved, but is anything worthwhile ever easy?

Good Luck to You!

Hi X.250.MRS.B.X and welcome to ECF.
How many drops would you recommend with a 510?
Generally the cartridges/ cartomizers are 1 ml- 20 drops= approx 1 ml.

I gained a few lbs when I first began but my renewed health enabled me to get active once again and I've not only lost weight but also toned up.
After 5 posts wait 1 hr for the ECF servers to reset and you can request a Cdn Vendors List via pm. Lottsa vendors across Canada.

As your lungs start to repair themselves and expel all the tar and other crap that's been accumulating, you'll probably experience some hacking and spitting. For me, this lasted about three weeks (but I was a PAD smoker for 50 years!) and then went away. You may also experience some flu or cold like symptoms (runny nose, sinus drip, etc.), but as your respiratory system gets back to pre-smoking condition, this also goes away. One of the many benefits to switching from ol' smokeys to vaping is that you will almost certainly notice that you have FAR fewer cold and flu attacks; I haven't had a cold for two years now, and before taking up vaping I used to have one long cold from fall to spring!

As for weight gain, I didn't experience any at all. :) Hang in there and keep on vaping; you'll be so very glad you did!

You make some excellent points, and you worded it so well - Vaping is not as "easy" as smoking, and some folks just aren't ready for the time and effort it takes to be successful at it. It is very hard to break a habit of years and years. Smoking was something I just DID, without really thinking about it.

One of my lowest moments was realizing that I already had a cigarette in my mouth....while trying to light still another one - and then seeing a third cigarette smoking in the ashtray all the while. I think you could call that a real "auto-pilot" habit!

It is very comforting to me to know that my poor body is getting the nicotine that it craves, and that any anxiety I am feeling is due to the "habit" grooves of smoking that are probably etched in my brain from all those years.

I know that new pathways will open up, the more that I don't smoke, and do this instead.

Welcome to the forum & to vaping! I am only about an hour away from Kamloops - doesn't seem to be many of us around this part of the map.
I am not familiar with your e-cig. I started on a different cigalike from a different vendor, and quickly moved up to the ego. As has been said, you are starting the right way. I was not ready for the ego until I had spent some time with the smaller version. It's a journey...and well worth the trip!
