That post cracked me up! :) Welcome to ECF.

I am glad you liked it. It is, unfortunately, true too. We're pretty smart and keep a bank account that is used JUST for online transactions in her name - mine is actually tied to an account with a goodly sum of cash in it. Her card only attaches to that one, only at the credit union, and can't have funds transferred to it without either my physically going to the bank or physically using an ATM.

It is a bit of a long story and I enjoy some anonymity online but I sold my company about six years ago and retired. I'm still fairly young. Given my druthers I'd be quite likely to spend more than I should. Auctions and Amazon used to be the bane of my existence. It has turned out that vaping is likely to be my new ridiculously (Hey, I spelled that right on the first shot?) expensive hobby. I am okay with that but I have my eye on four different VV mods and am actually considering purchasing all of them. Whilst I could afford it (they're all reasonably priced and one of them is actually pretty much the cheapest of its style online - the LT) I can't actually justify it when I sober up in the morning.

Who am I kidding? When I sober up in the afternoon.

No... Hmm...

When I'm mostly lucid in the afternoon it would be more difficult to justify with a logical response. "Because I like green. Butterflies. It seemed like a good idea at the time." Those are examples of why it isn't an acceptable answer if one strives to be at all logical.

I suspect it does make life exciting and it does actually seem like a fun idea. I currently have only one mod on the way. Other than that I have a pile of batteries (stick style) and the likes. I figure I may be able to accomplish all of the above AND be content with it if I limit myself to something silly. What I may do is learn more and start a collection of the various not so successful mods, the strange ones, and the ugly ones. Or I may limit myself to only things that can natively be had in KR808D-1/DSE901 threading.

So, it is still early in my vaping experience. I'm awed by how much I've been exposed to and how much there is to learn and how great a hobby I think that this can be. Where as I'm sure I'll learn to mix my own juice and make my own tanks and atomizers I'm also sure that I'm really quite lazy and so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to always buy something new and then revert to what I was doing before that was much simpler. There are already a couple of vendors who know me by name. Ah well... I expect birthday cards from 'em if this keeps up. :D

Welcome! I'm new too. Hope you're enjoying this forum as much as I am:)

I noticed the reply with quote option finally. *sighs* Oh well...

Anyhow, I am. I actually found more information concerning smoking on another, very different, forum. I enjoy there but this one is quite a bit more active. Over here I seem smart too. ;) (So there is that to stroke my ego.)

The reality is that I enjoy it just fine so far but the other forum allows me to be my real self (a bit of a sarcastic jerk really) in all my glory and they dish it right back out at me. But I joined that one first because they actually had information that I wanted.

While some might call them names (and they - I guess that is we though I'm not that senior on that site at all - are probably correct to do so) they do have their place and they do have a value. I might be ruthless when I review something but that means that I really actually am being honest. Instead of blowing smoke up someone's .... I may just tell it like it is and have my morals intact when I am done.

But, in my case, I seldom give reviews that are negative. I'm not about being negative. It has to really really be bad. If a product is bad I'm not likely to take my time reviewing the product. But if a vendor or a shill where to come in claiming it was all that and a bag of chips I'd likely take the time to explain why I think they're full of it and what it is that I think they're being dishonest about. Also, if I'm asked about a product or someone asks the group as a whole, I'll certainly opine at that point but, again, I don't make it a point to ever go out and post negative reviews. I simply am not that person. Even if it is a bad product, it has to be absolutely horrific for me to do so. I've yet to do so for a single thing in the vaping realm but I do have a few things to say about one of the vendors but this is neither the time nor the place.

I guess it all boils down to this: I'm pretty keen on honesty online. Online we're all nothing but a bunch of anonymous pixels. We have nothing to gain with dishonesty. If we can't at least be honest online then how can we be trusted anywhere else in our lives? I'm not sure if that makes any sense to anyone else. It does to me.

Actually, on further note, I'm not really *new* here. I made my account a couple of weeks ago. I just didn't have anything worth saying before. I still don't really. I just figure it is somewhere else I can go waste some time buying things I don't need for purposes I don't have. It makes sense to me.

Lol! I did that for a while Always made sure I was spending less than with analogs though. Turning vaping into a hobby is/was a powerful tool to never go back to analogs.
