new high drain battery

My friend has sent me links to a new high drain li-ion battery that does not need charging.. it has a tiny generator built it and it runs off of methanol ...

This battery is only in the prototype stage but will soon be out on the market.

i just thought id share this information with everyone and when i get the links again ill post it here..

i know these are cell phone batteries but if there is such a battery then its possible to make other batteries to run this way....

the bright side is that we still could use the cell phone batteries as well..

sounds interesting, but probably a ways from development. Possibly hydrogen fuel cells will be a better option by the time this goes into production. Very cool though. I would think it would be usefull more fore power tools rather than PVs, but we'll see.

Yea, the vid says will be out by 2008...not. lol I would also worry about exposure to mathanol when used in a PV, as I don't really want to go blind. Ingesting methanol will cause that.

No good, you'd have to change the rods(major PITA). And I don't have a radiation suit to do the maintenence myself, I'd have to send it out.

whats the chip board they use inside of the box mod to prolong the battery charge per charge? i have seen them in the forums and i dont understand the concept of it, because im not intelligent with understanding circuits?!?
