Just a quick little update, I would say the battery life is about an hour to maybe an hour and a half (if you are gracious). They charge pretty quick. I really like this model, it hits great and its a wonderful size. Shawn the only thing I would want is a PCC for it. If you could ask your rep if they are coming or suggest they make some this could easily be my main device just because of the size. If they had PCCs I would buy one for sure along with some extra batteries.

I just got mine yesterday...I've just recently returned to automatic batteries. Love the big vapor...I'm dripping since I hate whistle tips and, overall, I like the feel of it. Sgmetal is right about the length of a charge...thank goodness they do re-charge quickly too. I can live with such a short battery charge for at home, but a PCC would come in handy for when out and about....or a quantity discount on extra batteries. The only other I'd really like are cartomizers (round tipped of course, lol)...I don't mind dripping but it is a PITA at times.

BTW, I see this model as the first, next step in improving the automatic battery...they can only get better...I thank you Shawn for keeping automatics available.

This kit is great... I am using it dripping more than my provape.... it is a bit nice to be back on auto batteries for a change... anyone thinking about this kit get it.... good thing I have 4 batts tho or I would never make it through a full day...

question for shawn: 801 to 510 adapters DO NOT fit the high power batts... I don't have any legacy 801s to try... Can you look and see if the threading is a little different or if I got an adaptor with bad threads?

thanx in advance!

Just going to give this another post. The 801 HP kit has become my main device and I haven't used my v3 in weeks. Now as for my experiment of using a High Voltage 801 atomizer, the atty connected just find, but to me it feels like it gives less vapor then the High Power atomzers. I am planning on ordering 1 or 2 extra batteries soon just to have a spare, but the charging time is very fast so even when I run both out I only have to wait under 30 minutes for one to charge up and I am up and going again. I am pretty much stuck on this device and have been thinking of selling my v3 because I love this 801 kit so much. I think possibly manual battery versions and a PCC is all that I could ask for, for this device. I have been using 1 of the atomizers that came in the box since I got it mainly and it is still going fine. I have given it a cleaning at one point and I think I have at least another month out of it before its going to die on me. The 2nd atomizer that came with it crapped out on me within a week, but in an odd way where it didn't pop, but the batteries will not run when its attached. I can only guess something about it is telling the battery circuitry to not run. I really would suggest this unit to any user, whether you are getting started vaping, or you have several devices. I can not say for how cartridge use is as I only drip on it, but from the prefilled cartridges I used when I got it they seemed to dry up rather fast (as you would expect). Shawn really has a jem with this one and hopefully it will become more popular cause its a pretty awesome device.

Would edit my last post but I can't see how (facepalms). I just had the LED on one of the batteries die on me. So it lasted with high use for over 1 month. Guess I just got a stealth battery. I will take the cap off and see if the LED blew or if its just the circuitry.

--Edit--
looks like the Blue LED died, but the red one is still find so I will still have something to tell me if I reach the cut off (don't have the lung capacity for that, doubt anyone does on a good atomizer) and when the battery is dead.

Just ordered one of these bad boys. Gettin pretty tired of carrying around my 5v mods, so hopefully this is a permanent fix for that.

Got it today, and all I can say is WOW! I love this thing so far, and as long as the atty's hold up, I don't see myself using anything else. This unit is a must have for HV vapers that don't mind dripping. The batteries don't last long, but they charge pretty quickly.

As with all attys, there are good ones and bad ones. My first atty on this device lasted about a month; the second one died right away. I love the vapor on this thing but I really prefer cartomizers and there are none for this device. And because the threading is DIFFERENT an 801 to 901 connector won't work either. Shawn, please pass along to the manufacturer that they shouldn't call it an 801 if it isn't compatible with other 801 stuff...otherwise what's the purpose of having model numbers????

Well it is a 801, although the thread difference can be annoying, I think its helpful for if you a normal 801 user so you don't screw on the wrong type of atomizer and blow it. Shawn does have the fact that they are different on the shops page which is helpful, cartomizers would be nice to see for this model. I am thinking of taking my dead atomizer and opening it up to create my own adapter. If that goes well I will make a tutorial on it, I just need the 510 connector side to proceed. We might just have to deal with DIY adapters first before the supplier changes that. As for one of the atties dying right away I had the same problem. Past that I really do like this model and recently sold my v3 and I am using this exclusively.

Yes, Shawn does make that clear on the webistie; however, I still think that the number should be different in some way to indicate that it IS not a standard 801...say in the way different KR808s are identified. And, I'm sorry the argument that the different threading keeps someone from putting the wrong atty on doesn't cut it for me (no other model changes threading for different voltages). Plain and simple, it is DIFFERENT...it is not a standard 801 and should have a numbering scheme that indicates such. Personally, I think it is a manufacturers "trick" to have a bit of exclusivity...at least for a while.

All that aside, this is a great device and I'm really hoping for cartomizers for it one day.
