Hey everyone, got my Noble 1 couple days ago and as much as I like it I just can't seem to get it working properly. My only other experience has been a smoketech RSST (Ac9 clone) that I've been able to wick and coil no problem (which does have the built in insulator, maybe that’s the reason for my success?) . Been using #400 mesh (fully oxidized) and tried 28 and 30 awg a1 kanthal, different methods of wrapping (petar K, wrapping the wick then attaching ends etc…) and number of wraps. The first time I set it up it vaped great for an hour then noticed either it wouldn’t put out vapor or I’d get a hotspot and had bad flavor. I believe the wick wasn’t wicking the liquid very good (eliquid I use is a 50/50 blend). Love the fact that this thing doesn’t leak but I’m wondering if its not allowing enough air for the wick. I don’t have any 500 mesh to play with but maybe that would make the difference. Also tried smaller wicks vs larger but results are more or less the same. I’ll tilt the pv and helps but noticed that it floods if done too much. Any tips on setting this thing up is greatly appreciated, I’m hoping to not have to put this thing up on the classys! I’m starting to think this is not as forgiving as my RSST….

Rsst is far easier to setup than the majority of genny's out there. You really dont have to worry about hotspots as much on rsst since it has an insulated wick hole. The wick hole and airhole is larger. It takes far less precision to get up and running.

For me an my noble I make a tight wrapped 500mesh wick and use xc 116 ceramic sleeve over the mesh. I wrap my coil over the sleeve. I get more juice to the wick this way as the area of the wick above the wick hole is thicker with the sleeve and the ceramic removes any chances for hotspots. This is just the way I do it. Takes 5 mins to setup and I dont need to even test fire the coil since I know it works everytime.

Got silly tonight, and for giggles, I used my zatty boring and top cap on my new noble 1 (yes, I bought another after I sold my first). Guess what? It fit! I now have a "Zenoble". I saw this done on instagram, and had to try it.

I finally got it! I used a smaller size wick and pulled the top coil close to the post. 5/4 wrap of 28 awg. Creating clouds with great flAvor. I do have to tilt the hell out of it, if not I notice the coil glowing. Thanks for the info nomnom Ill have to try 500 mesh with the ceramic , sounds interesting. Do you find that you have to do a major tilt with that setup?

Where are getting that ceramic if you don't mind me asking?

They no longer sell the non anodized ones. If you get one secondhand, it may be a concern. I don't think it will actually poison anyone, nor do I think it is that dangerous. However, we are still uncertain of the effects of SS wicks and kanthal wire as well, so I would not get a non anodized one. Best to be on the side of caution with these things. The anodized ones should start somewhere in the #200s serial numbers. VC is also doing some kind trade in program for people with non anodized one "soon."

I have #0359, grabbed from 310 on 23 April. Did they already start anodizing by then?

I got two of these when they put them up last time. Got one up and running pretty easily but made a few changes. First I made the airhole 5/64" I might goto 1/16" later but I'm pretty happy with it right now. Also I made the wick hole 1/8" or 3.12mm, it gave me a bit of trouble at first but I used a small countersink bit to bevel the edge and its doing great now. Next I'm thinking of threading the syringe fill hole either 4-40 or 6-32 and putting a set screw in it. I think the countersunk fill hole will allow enough air for wicking and if it doesn't ill remove the set screw. That should be about it for me. I do have a dip kit and I'm thinking about doing a camo dip on it but not sure if I will or not. Does anybody know how to contact the makers of these? I'd love for them to make a dripper atty to screw on it and use the same cap. I'm wanting a dripping hybrid for a while and have toyed with the idea of cutting the top deck off of one of these and converting it. It would be pretty easy to do being aluminum, drill and tap a hole for negative post, shorten center pin and that's about it. A recessed well would be nice but I could get by with just the oring.

PS- Wanted to add that by drilling the wick hole I exposed raw aluminum, if you are worried about that give it some thought before drilling. I'm not that concerned about it, I figure Coke is much more aggressive than ejuice and their cans aren't anodized.

I love the idea of an RDA attachment as well. The Noble is already small with the RBA, if it was an RDA hybird, it would be so small and stealthy I also want them to make a 510 cap for it. Then we could put on whatever we like. . I wonder if a paps 510 cap would fit on there....does anyone know?

I just received my Nobel 1. I love it.

It was tricky to get the o rings on. I finally figured out that instead of taking the first o ring off, I put some e-juice on it, and slid the glass tank off, put the two other o rings on, and slid the glass back on.

I found that the spring for was a bit too strong so I put the weaker/smaller spring on for the firing mechanism.

I also ordered their Vape Goddess Guilty Pleasure. It must have been sitting on their shelf for a while because it tastes like a dream. (I thought, they can't really make a taste for just girls right? ) I highly recommend it, one of the best vape flavors I ever had. Mixed it with a bit of Boba's Bounty, tastes like a dream. I highly recommend it for ladies and gents who like cookie and milk type of flavor.

Chive on guys,
Chris
