I bought the Iclear 30 and Protank II yesterday. Put the Iclear on my Itaste battery and it leaked like a sieve. Took it back to the local B&M where I bought it. They fiddled with it a bit, pronounced it fixed. Got back home and filled it again. A few puffs and leaking again. It now resides in the box in the corner. POS as far as I'm concerned. Assembled the Protank II. Filled it and it's great. I'll be getting another!!

I normally drip and PIF'd my two iClear 30 clearos immediately because I found the flavor to be seriously muted even though I was getting very good vapor production.

I was expecting to do the same with the iClear 30s that came with my VTR. However, I was very pleasantly surprised that the flavor is quite good with the same satisfying vapor production. The iClear 30s won't be replacing my drippers but I won't be PIF'ing it either.

Didnt notice the oil flavor with the one that came with the VTR. I like the 30s. I didnt find it to hard to change flavors. I have no plans to buy another one but I like this one. I'm probably going to hold out for the Protank 3 dual coil. Id buy another if it had glass tank.
How did you manage to change flavors?

It looks like these heads cannot be maintained either. The outer cylinder makes it impossible to change flavor, clean or dry burn.

If a thick juice can make it into the innards of the outer cylinder (how vaping is possible), 99% isopropyl alcohol and/or everclear can certainly get in there. So how is it impossible to clean or change flavor?

Dry burn, don't know. Never tried it (on anything). Don't really see how it would be any different though. On the iclear 30, the coils are at the top, with the wicks obviously running through them. The rest of wick material is outside of the coil tube, uncontained, just open and loose. On the iclear 30S, the upper part of the coil tube is exactly the same. The only difference is the rest of the wick material is contained in an outer tube. But, it's still below the top coils.

The outer cylinder is about half holes anyway. The only real difference I can see, is the 30S just looks better, neater, cleaner, without all those wicks showing. It's all aesthetics really.

I have IClear 30 and didn't like it, flavor way too muted. Bought a Pro Tank Mini and the new Unitank, and WHEN they worked they were awesome in flavor and vapor but both leak wayyyy too much and didn't wick well leading to dry hits. Also the bottom cap of the mini is hard as hell to get back on cause the threads have trouble catching and half the time will start to cross thread. The Iclear 30s has it all imho. Great flavor, vapor, construction, top filling and NOOOOO leaking..thank you Jesus! I wasn't thrilled that the replacement heads are so expensive but that is the only negative I can think of. I don't mind the plastic tank since it can have threads and glass can't which helps with sealing everything off. The Kanger mini's tank also cracked into a million pieces while I was tightening the bottom ring on it and, no, I wasn't applying some ungodly force to it at the time, had to wait weeks for someone to have a replacement one in stock. The 30s just looks cooler too. I would get another one in a heartbeat.

if you are having muted flavor with the iclear30s let it sit full of juice overnight...you will awake to find the tank 1/2 full and them you will have good flavor...it seems to take a long time for the wicks to get loaded. They are juice hogs but work very well. Those who like carto tanks will love them

I hope that is the case with the iclear30s. I just received mine and the flavor is very muted. I have only used about a half tank of juice so far. I also have the protank and just received my protank II. I love both of them! I rebuilt a couple coils for the protanks with a micro coil and cotton and WOW! The first I built is 1.8ohms and the other is 1.5ohms. The great thing about the micro coil is you can bump up the volts without burning them out. The flavor and vapor is great! The iclear30s has a tighter less airy draw than the protanks. I think the iclear30s looks are amazing. The thing is just to cool looking. I just hope the flavor comes around. The vapor production is really good. I would love to be able to build a coil for them but I have read that you cannot do that:(. Overall, imo the iclear30s is a really nice tank but there are a few draw backs right now that don't make it my preferred tank. I will see how the flavor comes around after letting it sit for a day or so and try again.
