New in town

Hi, I'm definitely new to internet forums in general. I wanted to check this out because I am interested in finding an ecig to start using. I've only ever tried friends' ecigs before and I don't have one yet. I am a smoker, and I really like cigarettes- who doesn't? BUT they're expensive, and I feel self conscious with the smell now that I'm trying to have a life outside of college in the workforce. So.. that's me!

I'm looking for an ecig now, I've been thinking about the joye510cc, do you guys have any opinions of these? I'm on a budget.

Never used that.
I'll wait to see other responses, Theres plenty of devices but I only used devices similar to that for a short time then moved on.
Some people do that and some stay with what they first use.

Well, tell us a little more about yourself. How much do you smoke? I took a look at what you're looking at and a couple of months ago, before I started vaping, I would have thought it looked good, but now all I see is a battery that will constantly be on the charger. But I smoked a PAD, if you're a light smoker, that could be just the thing for you.

Welcome Emanme. to ECF. I am sure there will be others that can answer your question about the ecig you are thinking of getting. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on here and they are friendly and helpful. I would recommend doing a google search for vapor shops in your area and check out what is available. When I started out I picked up a kit from eGo. They usually contain a tank, battery and charger. A knowledgeable sales clerk in a vapor shop will be able to explain what you need and also recommend juices. My local shop (The Vapor Hut) has juices you can try and also a few different ecigs that you can try out. I notice you live in Denton. Being a college town I am sure you can find a local shop to help you out. You mentioned that you didn't know how to "like" a persons post. Look in the bottom right corner of anyone's post and you will see the word "Like". It is a hyperlink so just click it and the person will be notified you liked their post. Have a good day, enjoy vaping and most of all ask questions.

Within the past few weeks I made the plunge into vaping as a replacement to smoking. Vaping worked for me.

I would recommend something easy and low hassle/maintenance for a first vape. You will upgrade from it eventually to something higher performance/more cost effective later.

The reason this is important is so that you will actually use it instead of being frustrated with it. Later you can find something more your speed once you have something that works.

Goyo, did you have any ecigs in particular in mind when you say low hassle/maintenance? Because that sounds great!

I am rather new myself so I do not know all of what is out there. Instead of the istick and nautilus mini I would probably have purchased the ego one kit or a subtank mini and an istick. I am a fan of how the ego one kit looks but I have not used it. The istick I am happy with, the nautilus mini I am not so happy with the coils. When I get a good coil it is wonderful. But for the same price I hear the subtank mini is better/easier.

    Welcome!
You won't regret your smart move to eCigs!
I agree with Goyo, get somthing easy to start with. Don't do like I did and buy 20 of them because you won't stay with a beginners set up long but do make it easy on yourself to start.
I never used Kanger, probably one of the few that haven't. I started with an Ego then went to Spinners VV, then Provari using Aspire tanks. The lower end Aspire tanks are decent and work nice with the Egos and Spinners.
When you grow out of those and want a RTA there will be a "new grand" thread like there is now on the Lemo.
You can pick up a starter kit at a local vape shop for $30 and try some different ejuice free to see what you like. They will show you how to fill it and get you started if you don't know anyone that vapes. I bought a lot on eBay that I didn't really need but they were "pretty" :)
    Hang Strong, it's worth it!

    Welcome to the forum!

I 2nd the Ego One, a lot of people seem to like it and I see a lot of them selling at the B&M I get my juice at. It's about $50 for the whole kit; tank, battery and passthrough charger. It comes with a 1 ohm coil and a .5 ohm coil so you can try sub ohm if you want more flavor and vapor and the replacement coils seem to be cheaper than the other tanks like the Atlantis. I don't have one myself, I mainly drip and use a mech mod, but I'm not liking my Atlantis setup so it's on my list.
