So I just got in the mail an intellicharger I4 V2, but came with what I guess is a european cord - round poles in the plug 3/4 of an inch apart. Anyone know if it's easy to get the American cord for this? It was listed as Input 100-240, but never talked about the plug. I figured ordering from amazon it would be the correct plug. (never assume anything) It will take 12 volts, and I think I have a converter for that somewhere, but it would be nice to have the right cord. If I can get a hold of one easily (and quickly) I'm good to go, otherwise I guess it's the amazon re-box route.

Just curious, can you shoot us the Amazon link?

Can't recall what NiteCore requires on the charger end of things, but one option is to get a US to Euro plug adapter. They can be had cheeply on line, not so cheeply at the likes of Radio Shack.

Re: 12 volt adapter. Whatever you got you do not want to use an under capacity wall wart with this thing. Check either the unit or the instructions for the right adapter. Most likely a 1 amp, could need a 2 amp.

It seem a lot of you here are knowledgeable on cords, plugs etc. I have had mine for a few months, since the V2 came out. I just noticed that my cord has slipped out of its cover near where it plugs into the unit and the inner wires are showing. Is there a way to just get a new power cord? If so what specs do I look for, Im sure Id just have to look at the input/ output voltage? And the type of plug that goes into the unit, what type is that called. It has the little double plug looking one. I could never remember the name.

Thanks for the info and dont mean to hijack the thread, just figured I have all these minds here already. Thanks

But a relevant hijack, since the OP was asking about this too!

I don't have a NiteCore, but having conjured up the images here Review of Charger SysMax/NiteCore i4 V2 that looks like a standard Sony "figure 8" style AC cord. Pretty standard thing used by Sony and many others as the AC line cord on camcorder & lap top power supplies etc.

It is a fairly standard power plug. I just went around my house with my I2 charger and found like 6 things that take the same cord. A boombox, NI-MH charger, and a PS2 as an example.

And this is why I like Amazon.... I understand that mistakes happen.... it's what you do about them that makes customer service actually be about servicing the customer!

Hello,

I'm so sorry to hear that you've received the wrong power cord for your item.

In this case, I've two options for you:

1. If you prefer to keep the item, I'll refund the amount of $6.74 which is 30% off the price of the item. You may place a new order for a US power plug adapter.

Or

2. If you prefer to return the item for a full refund, please let us know.

Yeah.. found one... but it was on my CPAP.... I guess that's one way to make sure I dont leave it plugged in overnight :)
But at least now I know what I need and where I can pick one up cheap if I can't find another one around here that isn't needed as much. But at least I will have fully charged batts for when my slow boat from china comes in with my new SID
