Hey guys, been lurking without registering for about four months now and I felt it was finally time to hop on and join you guys. Smoked for about 9 years, pack and a half to three packs a day depending on the day, got sick of feeling like .... so I jumped to vaping. Boy, glad I did that, smoke free since December 1, 2012. Don't regret it one bit. I've been keeping an eye on threads for a while as I made my way up the battery levels, started with a 280 mAh 906 kit, went onto eGo and then to the eGo-VV (kGo) and some Twists. Felt that those would be all I need, and I do still use my cig-a-like batteries when I go out and about (easier to deal with onlookers, seeing a black battery with blue LED tip versus me bringing my 1200/1300 mAh VV/Twists with Novas/Protanks/evods). But, lo and behold, my 1200/1300 mAh batteries gave up the ghost. Center post gets pushed in, paperclip them out, replace washers, and with all the fiddling the solder just gives up. Which is weird because my 650 kGo-VV is still working like a champ and I haven't paper clipped the post in the whole 2 months I've had it, but my 1200/1300 kGo/Twists died on me in weeks because of this. I decided to go to fasttech, got an eVic (which they confirmed does NOT have the 2 screw control heads), that should be in sometime this week. I've been keeping up with the PV/mod threads as well, so please don't flame me for getting an eVic, don't tell me I should have gone with Provari/Vamo. I have used friends' Provaris/Vamos/eVics, and I do notice the differences between each. I do, eventually, plan to get them all. Why? Because I have the financial stability to do so. XD

That's me in a nut shell, once I get my five posts here I'll actively be around all the other threads. Happy vaping!

Oh man, ain't that the truth. I've honestly spent more on the batteries and tanks than I have on the e-liquids, and I've been solidly vaping 2mL to 7mL a day depending on the day (all nighters on school work in front of a computer leads to higher juice consumption, I've come to find XD).

Welcome aboard. I can speak to the eVic a bit. Was by far my favorite mod for many months, but just don't drop it. I'm literally on my third eVic (you can buy the regulation heads only for about $50), with two heads having died horrible deaths. They can be repaired, probably easily,. The problem is that the heads do pop off and after a few of those, they'll pop off and tear out the leads to the 510 connection. I've lost two, and still replaced it again. Maybe it's just me...butterfingers and granite counter tops...but they are a bit delicate. Recommend that you epoxy the top on after the first time it pops off. That aside, eVic has the best display on the market and the usb interface provides the best way to update firmware, etc. Version 1.2 or higher was a big improvement. Also, you can get shorter tubes in several colors and you can then use 18350 batts. While I don't recommend the eVic any longer, for the reasons mentioned, I still use one all the time. I still like them, I just never leave the house with it anymore.

Anyway, welcome aboard, thanks for the shoutout, good luck, happy shopping and Vape On!

I still have a ways to go before I make the leap into RBAs and ss mesh and silica and cotton and kanthal haha. Need to get a meter for it and a Vamo, although I could do all this stuff with my eVic. Pretty stoked to start rebuilding on my evods and Novas too.

If you do get into re-building novas, once you've mastered silica builds have a try at cotton.
At the moment I've got some 100% cotton make-up removal pads (pinched from the Wife), rolled into a wick and then coil as normal - the flavour is the best I've ever had. But you can see the juice level dropping in the tank, my cotton wicks eat juice
