So I started vaping back at xmas. Was a long time on and off smoker, started with cloves, went to marlboro reds, camel no filter, and ended with cigars. While vacationing in Hawaii a buddy of mine helped me get started vaping. Picked up a Volcano Inferno bottom feed tank, and I still use that at work (I'm in construction and it fits easy in my pocket). But after a few months I started looking into getting an RDA. After a couple weeks I ended up ordering all stainless Nemesis and Nimbus clones, and a couple Efest 35A 2500mah batteries (and yes I know they're probably rebranded and don't run at full specs, but for $10 a piece, I'm fine with that). Everything's been working great and I'm quite happy. That said I want to start getting more vape out of what I have.

So far I've drilled out the holes to 7/64" and I've been getting builds done at a local shop. I've tried both cotton and ekowool (definitely prefer eko for the simplicity and low maintenance), and for the most part I prefer high VG juices (Cuttwood, Epic juice, Beard Vape). And I've been experimenting a little by going down to .6 ohm, but haven't seen much of a change in vape output. What I'm looking for is info on what I can do to increase overall vape with this equipment.

Some of my questions are:

More wraps? Less wraps?
Thicker wire? Thinner wire? Flat wire?
Tighter coil wraps? Spread out?

From trying out other peoples mods I definitely know at some point I want to drill out to 1/8", but if I can't get the vape output, there's no point. So any and all recommendations or info that you guys can give me would be appreciated.

Thicker wire with fewer and tighter wraps.... I use 26 g kanthal wrapped 8 times around a mini-paperclip (1/32) dual coils and it consistently puts me between 0.28-0.33. Changes the weather for sure. You may want to invest in better batteries though if you plan on going down this low in resistance.

I've recently seen a new style of wire called Mundy's something or other... Seems pretty cool if done right.

I never noticed a difference in vapor itself with different ohms. I've been from .24 up to .76 or so. I have .32 now and I like it. I got that built with 28g twisted and a dual coil set up. 4 wraps around a screwdriver. The largest in the 6 piece jeweler set. But I'm still learning different builds too

the more wraps you put on a given size mandrel the higher the ohms will be That's for all wire sizes. Example 10wraps will be 1 ohm 20 wraps will be 2 ohms. as stated make sure your battery is up to the task of sub ohming Sony VTC4 and 5 are the best choices for just about all your vaping needs. check out cherryvapes.com for a wide open drip tip thts an area that's important in getting more vapor you can drill out your tips to the largest size possible but it just wont be as good. there are many builds also that produce more vapor then others. Stovetop coil, nano dragon, and parallel coil designs all produce massive vapor. there are others as well I have a quad coil built from a single strand of wire thats hitting real hard. airflow is very important you have to have it and its best to line up your airholes so you draw air directly onto the coil I drill mine to 1/8" but I like an open draw I also have some that have larger airholes and some that have 8 holes drilled into it. experimenting is the best teacher IMO.

Mundy Magic is 3 times twisted ribbon wire and if i had to place my money i'd say it was better for flavour than vapour production.

It's also not easy to make and Rip Trippers has a video on a similar version, using different ribbon wire.

Which takes care of the coil part. Next bit - your liquid; if you use a cotton wick and high VG you may need to thin it with some distilled water and estimates vary from 10+ %.

As a point of safety - a dual coil will halve your resistance. So make 2 x 1Ω coils and measure your atty and it'll be 0.5Ω. Don't forget to measure it to make certain your battery can handle that output.
