Mine is black & the button is solid- I think they all should be made like this.
On the 2nd one which is also black, the button is a lil itty bitty loose- not enough for me to worry too seriously about.

I'd say mines bad enough to worry about. Its ready to fall off

It hasn't actually fallen off, it just feels like its going to. And having dealt with joyetech customer service when trying to order the product, I know they'll be useless with trying to get help on this.

They seem to have taken care of others with issues here.. Won't know unless you try. ;)

I'm happy to report that mine (other than a small paint nick) is still going strong, and working well... :)

I think you should contact them. I had a rattling wheel and button and they replaced it no questions asked. They covered return postage and sent a new box. The replacement is working flawlessly with no rattling at all.

They shipped you a brand new replacement? Did you buy it through their site?

Yep, but I would not buy through them again, since their webstore seems to have been hacked and your cc info may be compromised. After shopping there, I got lots of fraudulent charges (but were all caught by Amex) and ultimately I had to get a new card. But I would assume that Joyetech would do the same if you bought them elsewhere.

I got mine from a store, and joyetech just told me that all they'll do is have me ship it in for them to fix. Their customer service is ridiculous. Its the same girl every time and you can't hear a word she says and it seems like she couldn't care less about your issue. Makes me never wanna buy joyetech again

What else did you expect? You'll need to send the mod in for them to do anything.. If they can't fix it, I'm sure you will get a new one back.. :)

I expected a google type of customer service. They ship the new product, you then return the old. So your not without a product for 3 weeks.

The only way I've seen that happen is if the company places an authorization for the amount of the replacement item on a CC, then remove it when the defective item is received.. What's to stop someone from just not sending the defective unit in if they ship a new one first?

Yeah I'll gladly to a CC hold. I have no issue with that

Yes, I was also told to send mine in (they gave me a prepaid label) and they would then either fix it or send a replacement unit. However, I very much doubt they spend the time fixing stuff on a $30 item. It's cheaper for them to just replace it, particularly given the huge markup they are selling it for. So they didn't bother fixing mine and sent a new one, case closed to everybody's satisfaction.

So after poking around on some reviews and the forums, this 'supposed' Kayfun style rebuildable base rumor was started by Twisted420 on his video review (I haven't rewatched the entire video to find this particular part where he mentions it). There is no other info on it that I have been able to find. So whether this is true or not, I guess we'll have to wait and find out.

Another person on Reddit mentioned shaving down the screw on the atomizer base which then allowed him to screw in an Aspire BVC coil on it and that it worked really well. No pictures or follow up on his post though so I am not sure on whether or not this would actually work. But if someone would be willing to test it out, that would be nice. It'd be great if we could use the Aspire BVC coils on this device.

I also purchased these micro USB dust covers on eBay for about $1.50 (US), so if anyone else is interested in getting some to protect their charge port, here's a link.

Well, I gave my review a little too soon. I bought it on November 13th, and was loving it. However, on the 23rd it stopped working. I was using it it, then it seemed like the battery was dead so tried charging it and it just never refired again...I changed coil heads, and all it would do is blink a bunch of times then turn off. Now it won't even blink.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the customer service of getting a replacement because I actually do love the way the device performs when it actually works. I bought it at a brick and mortar, so I'm going to return it once they open today. I'm hoping they just give me a new one, rather than have to ship it and wait.

Sounds like the usb port dislodged. Hope they just replace it w/out issue.
