I'm really curious to see photos of the camo units, other than the stock photo. I saw another one of their camo boxes, and it didn't look too hot, this one looks like maybe it's nicer, but if it looked like the product I saw, I wouldn't want it.

Didn't like the camo in add, too old school BDU looking....now if they did it in realtree :toast:

MVP2 can be had for under $40 and comes with a clearo and charge cable. The charger is built in. Granted the cable is just a usb, 15 watt limit and the clearo is not the greatest. That is why I said around $50 because I perceive the egrip to be worth more with 20w. The istick is just over $30-40 but it is value made and no topper.

Anyway the sale price at $50 and if the rba is $10 I suppose that is not so bad. It does look like a good out and about option.

No, the sale price is $40 for the mod alone (check the link). The entire kit is $50. And this includes free shipping. The eGrip also charges through USB. Since I assume most folks have a charger, the kit is not really needed. So it's $40 for the mod and $10 for the rba. The MVP really cannot compete on anything other than mAh. And that comes at the price of a large brick. Everything else about the eGrip is far superior.

Read 18 pages and haven't seen if the tank is glass or plastic?

Does the mouthpiece press in or screw in? IOW can you replace it with a standard drip tip?

Is the tank vacuum dependent? Will it leak from altitude or temperature changes?

Thanks

I believe the tank is glass (that's what the Joyetech guy indicated in a reddit thread)

The mouthpiece plugs in and can be replaced by standard drip tips (but I actually like the one it comes with)

It won't leak. I just had it on a 10 hour long flight and it vaped fine on the flight ;)

I've tried a couple different drip tips with mine. Can't decide what I want to go with. I prefer a longer drip tip just to have the mod not so close to my face but the larger bore drip tips seem to work better with it. I usually don't use large bore drip tips but I have a couple of them that I tried out with it and it seems to vape better... although they're mostly pretty short. Tank seems to be glass but I am not certain... would really suck if it cracked if you dropped it though. Haven't had any issues with leaking. After vaping on the eGrip for a bit and my iStick with an Aspire K1 with the BVC coil, I do feel the BVC coil has better flavor. I wish the author of this post would follow up... or if anyone else is willing to try this or find someone who's into modding to test this out...

If a person can take the time to post without including pics I tend to not put much credence into what they had to say from the start.

True, but do you think it would not work? The coils for the eGrip are slightly larger than the BVC but it does seem like a possible modification.

Edit: Looking at the author's other posts, it does seem like he's 'fairly' regular on reddit and has posted in other topics about vaping and e-cigs. I wouldn't doubt that he's telling the truth... although I do wish he would follow up his original post. Maybe I'll try to PM him or something... I don't use reddit regularly so I dunno if its possible to PM him to see the pics.

I'm not a modder by any stetch of the imagination & can't say one way or the other if it would work. It would've been a common sense move for the OP to post pics so others could actually try it for themselves.

I bought 2 boxes of coils when I purchased my eGrip & will be getting the eGrip RBA base the minute it becomes available.

And I must say that I'm impressed Joyetech makes this option of RBA available, as it will cannibalize their head sales. I think the eGrip will be wildly successful if they keep doing the right thing.

I also think that some people may be working on replacement bases that will accept Aspire heads. Although they ain't cheap either.

I agree but until others make them Joyetech will already have the lead.

Okay, just found a great deal on the eGrip: Black Friday Sale - EVcigarettes.com

You can get the kit for $50 or the mod alone for $40 (Joyetech eGrip Body (Replacement) - Wood - EVcigarettes.com) including free shipping. I ordered two of the latter (discount is applied after you add it to cart).

Happy Thanksgiving indeed.
How do you get free shipping?I checked shipping and none are free.
