I agree however the 306 is a dripper and from what I've read gives a very good flavor hit due to no tank/cart/etc. It would be easier testing multiple flavors back to back with the 306 too. Of course there's the added(although relatively cheap) expense as they're only $8.

Cignot is hands down the best ecig vendor I've ever dealt with. I bought my first 510 kit there nearly 5 years ago and have to continued to deal with them whenever they had the product I was after. Their customer support is unrivaled.
I feel you. I've cleaned mine ONCE only to see what all this eGrip cleaning hype was about. {IMO} It's overrated.
The only maintenance I do is rewick when necessary. I find it so unnecessary (for me) to clean it out.
My flavor changes aren't overly dramatic to the point of being bummed I didn't wash it out first.
Oops. I meant RDA. Specifically, I prefer a derringer for tasting because....well, it has good flavor. Changing cotton is even cheaper than 8 bucks! And, I would think it's easier to get the previous taste out of a RDA.
Yep, I just wash the RBA, and rebuild or rewick when needed.
I can see where peeps vaping cinnamon, menthol or other permeating juice profiles could need multiple egrips and the need to thoroughly clean the tank, glass, seals and the rba section. That's why I reserve those types for rdas. Still some of those juice types will ghost seemingly forever after cleanings almost like they permeated the metal or something.
My egrip only gets filled with one flavor. I have only washed it once, when I first got it, to remove the machine oil taste. I'm too lazy to fiddle with cleaning it....I just rewick it, vape on and ignore it.

Yea apparently the 306 you just drop a few drips down the tip...take a few puffs to test the liquid...and then take off the atomizer before you blow through it into a towel to remove the remaining liquid. Rinse and repeat. Would possibly be a lil faster then removing the RBA base and rewicking between flavors but not a huge difference.
The 306 will still taste like the last liquid. You need a Rebuildable Dripping Atty that you can just take the cotton out of, dry burn the coil, and wash totally clean. Definitely not the RBA in the Egrip. THAT would be quite tedious.
I always found testing juices difficult no matter how you do it. Mostly annoying maybe. Tasting juice on a dripper rda and then actually using the juice in a different delivery system would get me all screwed up seeing how every delivery system (tank, carto, dripper, and so on) makes the same juices taste very different.
I am so glad I finally have a handful of juices that I love and I no longer search hours and hours for juices to try...

Really? Everything I've read people have mentioned it being rather easy to clean out the taste profile and was one of the preferred devices for taste testing. I can see how a rebuildable RDA would work nicely too.
I think it was the best way to taste, and easiest to clean in 2012, I think there are much better and cheaper ways today.
Plus I see you can get a Derringer clone for $8-9 on Fasttech. Not bad at all. I've been interested in one since watching it be reviewed by Twisted420. I can build some 1.2 - 1.5 ohm 28g coils to throw on it like I do for my eGrip so that should be a closer taste match then going from a 360 to my eGrip.

Funny, in my experience I've not found res to make much of a diff in taste. Atty chamber size, airflow, coil diameter, coil type, wattage and wicking medium, yes. Res?, not really unless I'm using an unregulated mod; but then that equates to a wattage change. Just say'n. Have to admit though, the Egrip brings out flavor notes very close to my rdas; closer than any other rta I own.

Yea I'm too New to all this to say if there's a diff. Just trying to keep in the same "sweet spot" ppl keep referring to that I'll be using on my eGrip to make sure there's as lil variances between the two as possible for tasting.
Right on Dawg, the egrip works best in that 1.4-1.6ohm range; 1.5 centered optimum for taking advantage of the full adjustable 8-20w range. Once there, coil saturation can be controlled with wicking density, wicking placement and draw effort. Great little device. Have fun and welcome to the thread. Let us know if you need any help. Gurgling? What am I do wrong again? Tried wick changes, loosing the RBA cap, nothing!
Has anyone had a go at fixing the sloppy/loose button. Driving me nuts as it's such a great product.
