Wow thanks, that is awesome. I wonder how it manages to avoid leaking considering it is pressurized inside just like other tanks.

You mean vacuum inside that get pressurized but yeah, I wonder as well.

I think the trick is to vape during the climb and descent of the plane (no need to actually vape, just suck occasionally to equilibrate). As I said, this worked for me perfectly.

Ok just curious... How exactly does one stealth vape in public? Especially on a plane? I'm usually weird about trying to vape in places where I can't smoke or where people would stare.

Only place I really stealth vape is in a movie theater. Rare, but when I feel like it, I either blow down my shirt, into my coat, or even into a drink LOL I just try to keep the vapor production to a minimum.

Exactly... I have used a cup of coffee before.. The vapor looks like steam coming from it, as long as I'm mindful of the draw, and how long I hold it in.

I think the trick is to vape during the climb and descent of the plane (no need to actually vape, just suck occasionally to equilibrate). As I said, this worked for me perfectly.

It is the air inside the tank expanding during the climb that makes a tank leak, so, if you "fill it completely" there is a minimum amount of air to expand. Then, if you vape occasionally during the climb any juices pushed out onto the coil by the minimum amount of air will be consumed to avoid flooding.

I don't know this for sure and haven't tried it myself, but having worked on aircraft and understanding the pressurization system, what Armadillo says make sense to me It should work for most clearo's too.

I tried both suggestions before sending it back. I must of had the base off and on a 100 times prior to sending it back I screwed the coils and the base off and on testing how tight or loose each might need to be. I did it over and over, hoping to find the connections sweet spot I sent it back. They will get it today. I'm waiting to hear back. I'm very anxious to get a properly functioning one in my hands!

I had a similar problem: blinking firebutton. Then I checked the coil and base and found the base to be soaking with liquid. Cleaned and dried it and had no issues since.

I have had this issue 2 or 3 times, but not in the last few days at all. To fix, I just unscrewed the base and screwed it back in. This leads me to believe it more of a protection issue with the electronics. As if it thinks there is no atomizer or the ohm rating is to low to fire.

You can remove the base and try to fire, same blinking "warning" light. Maybe its not making a good connection to the base?

VapeNW has the RBA base in stock as well, no adapter though. Pretty good price on the eGrip kit too. I'm still holding out for the adapter. Unless someone's found a way to check resistance without the specific adapter or multimeter.

The RBA base arrived today.. I primed-up the pre-installed coil/wick, and I must say it's a pretty damn good vape. Loads of flavorful vapor. I do wish it was designed to use the eGrip's airflow adjustment, as I find it on the airy side, but other than that, a nice addition to an already awesome little device by Joyetech.

I haven't cranked it up past the 8 watt setting yet.. I'm quite satisfied there ATM. I know my lit magnifying work lamp will come in handy when it's rebuild time.. As one could imagine from the size of the stock head, the RBA base is small.

Just got the rba, came with coil and cotton installed. Left it in there an primed it up and installed it in the egrip. Folks hang on to your hats, it's a beast. Crazy vapor , good flavor, which I hope will get better. Can't wait to biuld a coil and see what it does. Have it aout 10 or 12 watts.

How can you beat this, for $18.50?

I gotta say, joyetech is really out to prove that high-functioning ecigs can be small, powerful, easy to use, and adaptable.

Once u get the rda base u will never use the coils!

Gotta think about the airy part. I like a tighter draw... Wondering if it could be partially blocked.
I think the Joye site said that was an extra air hole so I assumed it uses the egrip hole too...

The RBA base doesn't utilize the airflow control on the eGrip? That's a slight bummer... I don't like super airy draw. Are you sure? Just seems silly to have the RBA base just cut off one of the features of the mod.

I have the airflow screw tightened all the way.. The RBA base draws air through the bottom, straight to the coil as far as I can tell. I've been messing with placing my pinky over it while drawing to tighten it up. It makes it more to my liking that way.

I have not had a dry-hit yet. For piss-n-giggles, I just pushed it up to 14 watts.. My room is fogged.. The pre-installed coil is close wound, like a micro. That, the cotton wick, and good juice delivery is what's making it better than the stock head IMO.. I'm using a DIY 50/50 blend.

I think its the rda and higher ohms, I could not turn the watts up past 8 on the other coils without getter it too hot, i have it on 10 or 13 with the rba and could probably go higher. I think the premade coils were junk, they worked ok but the rda puts it to same. I had a wider bore tip and put the smaller back on with the rda. Rdas are always better than factory coils. I can not wait to buold a coil for this thing, but the premade one works pretty damn well. Buy one u won't be disappointed, hell it's only 12.50.

My RBA base should be here tomorrow and I plan on tightening the draw by putting something like a spare insulator or grommet in the hole to make it smaller. By looking at the diagram I think that should work .

It also looks like the coil that comes with it (from the pictures I have seen) is sitting quite high above the airhole . I think if that coil sat closer to the airhole that would also help tighten the draw. I've no idea why they thought people would want a wide draw and be doing lung hits of a small stealth device. Not very stealthy "chucking clouds bruh"
