Yeah, With the egrip, I always have to draw longer to get a decent vape than with anything else I have, except maybe the eroll, but that's hands free and mindless so I don't notice.
After reading your posts, I pulled mine and pulcked some of the filler out of the slits, like "free shrugs" did. That helped alot. I will probably order one when they get the adapters in. Not that my eyes need to try to see something that small. And I have the magnifiers!

When I picked up the egrip after putting the coil back in, I noticed black crispy critters in the drip tip well. It will be interesting to see what that coil's innards look like when it dies. I've had it one month today. Still on the first coil, but I don't use it as much as my other stuff. Too many new toys at once!

I don't know for you in USA about factory coils but from what i saw in french forum most of us have abandoned the eGrip because they were not good.
RBA base also available here now but some of us bought this mod as a plug and play and don't want to rebuild.
I received today some GS AIR DUAL COIL ELEAF and it is really a better flavor than the joyetech we got before, just had trouble to make contact and had to unscrew-screw 4-5 times but i can easily go to 14-15w witout any problem, even tried at 20w and no burn taste.
Joyetech France told us they made new version to sort burn taste problem but don't really know if it is true.

Shipping is a small price to pay, for the freedom to buy what you want, from whoever you want.

5 bucks flat rate shipping for this.
At 12.50 + the shipping, Not a good deal.
But... The coil is very nice. It does somewhat defeat the stealthiness of the grip with the clouds. I think I prefer it with the aspire BVC hacked in.
I shoulda waited for the 8.50 and free shipping from another place. Oh well, I guess cignot is menot again.
Unless I'm getting something REALLY heavy.

Meh, it was an impulse buy for me.. Some of us have to be early adopters. ;) I doubt I'll be using the RBA base much myself. Probably until this pre-made goes sour. Then, back to the stock heads until I get bored enough to rebuild. Like I posted before, I purchased the eGrip to not mess with rebuilding. Yes, the RBA's vapor production and flavor is better than stock, but at the price of fiddling with yet something else. For many eGrip owners, the RBA base will be a Godsend for certain. :)

The RBA base arrived today.. I primed-up the pre-installed coil/wick, and I must say it's a pretty damn good vape. Loads of flavorful vapor. :vapor: I do wish it was designed to use the eGrip's airflow adjustment, as I find it on the airy side, but other than that, a nice addition to an already awesome little device by Joyetech. :)

I haven't cranked it up past the 8 watt setting yet.. I'm quite satisfied there ATM. I know my lit magnifying work lamp will come in handy when it's rebuild time.. As one could imagine from the size of the stock head, the RBA base is small.

Did you see inside the other package it comes with an additional 2 more pre-made coils?
I guess we could mount them to any rba to find out what the Ω's of them are.

I almost missed them in the cotton bag.. Thanks! :) I saw the wire in the other bag, and didn't look further.. I may go ahead and burn through the other 2 before I go back to the stock heads now. ;)

EDIT: I just checked with my MM, and both of the extra coils came out to 1.5 ohms..

I know you have yours. This pic is for people who'll toss the cotton. There are 2 more pre-made builds in the bag with the cotton.
Personally I'm not using the cotton. The wick looks terrific but that cotton pad looks like it was dropped on a floor.

That's what organic unbleached cotton always looks like.

The charging port detaching inside of the mod on the first run is a known issue. Send it back for an exchange for one that this problem has been corrected. Mine is a first-run to but its still attached. By the way I'm thinking of designing an eGrip charging caddy where you just set your mod down on top of a base where the plug is for charging

So. .. Is a secret?:?:
Must be cause post 553 didn't reveal any secrets.

Someone already shared the "secret" "with me" and everyone else reading this thread
