I got the egrip on Thursday and the premade coils are nice. About as good as the aspire BVC. All I would ever need. I got the RBA with the premade RBA coils today – wow I have never used and RBA before today – The fact that I don’t have to make the coils is very appealing to me. and yes – The vape is the best vape I’ve experienced to date. This is the future for me. This is a very long thread so forgive this question – How long do you run one of these RBA coils and how often to you rewick the same coil??
I just order a bunch of these coils from sweetvapes – They are only .65 cents each.
Thank you.

Just rebuilt the rba w/ a 29awg 8/7 wrap on 5/64"(2mm) 1.55 ohm t.m.c. wicked with kgd. Rock'n at 17w. Flavor's excellent, good vapor production. Didn't take pics because it didn't look worthy.

There is a real conundrum with the rba. If you make the coil long enough to use the thru holes without distorting the coil you end up with little to no room to tuck the wicks in. Also causes a very sharp transition for the wick. If you make the coil shorter, as in the build mentioned above, it's easy to tuck the wicks in but the coil distorts a little during tightening and setting. Thinking a 28awg 8/7 5/64"(2mm) wind might be a good compromise.

At 2.4ohms the Egrip will only produce 12.6watts max even if you turn the dial to 20w! Flavor is going to be better with most juices at 14-20w on this device. The RBA high airflow demands it.

Thanks, but i get with the same liquid excellent flavor with my Lemo at 9 watts and the lemo is also very airy.
So 12.6 watts should be sufficient. Anyway, i had the same problem with the premade coil of 1.5 Ohm.
I must be missing something, but maybe i am too much used to the excellent flavor of the Lemo.

I will try later this week my "standard" micro coil on Kanthal as on my Lemo.

Just bought one of these a few days ago for stealth vaping!
Got the egrip, rba base and 510 adaptor tool.
Congrats, Where did you purchase yours?

Honestly can't wait!! Was looking for a egrip thread and came across this. Welcome to the thread

How are people finding the egrip?
I find mine in my pocket; more than any other device I own
Is it a hit or a miss?
Both, hits like a freight train and doesn't miss a lick
From the reviews i have seen it's awesome!

Sorry, couldn't resist fun'n around a bit. Hehe

Ok so I've decided to get another egrip and try to get my other one replaced by joyetech. I'll try calling them on Monday although I might have voided the warranty by opening the bottom of my mod and poking around a little. Mod still turns on and off and charges but that 3 blink light problem still persists. Can't get it to work with anything. I wonder what changed from that moment it decided to stop working.

So if I order another, is Cignot the best place? If I run into more issues I'm going to be .......

got mine at VapeNW for $49.99. fast shipping, but no knowledge of their CS. Cignot is comparable pricing with Sweet-Vapes, but Vicki is awesome! CS is great with Cignot.

Got my first from VapeNW and my experience w/ them thus far is definitely satisfactory. Currently in the process of having it replaced due to a loose button. Emailed them about a replacement at night. Got a response the next day. Subsequent responses were within a half hour. It will be there Monday so I should have my replacement sometime next week. That being said I would still go w/ Cignot. The tales of Vicki's cs are above and beyond.

Well since I'm from the UK, UK joyetech didn't have the rba base and 510 tool available.
I had to purchase from edampf shop in Germany.
Decided to buy all of the things in one go.
Still stuck in customs atm :(

Found out that UK joyetech just started stocking the base and 510 adaptor!
Worked out the same price though.

Seriously can't wait!!
I have a p3 and kayfun4. Also a vs dna30 with squape r.
Wanted something stealthy that i can carry with me at all times.

The rba base is a serious deal breaker for me so had to get it!!

Ha... my egrip is working now. .... It started working as randomly as it stopped working two nights ago. I'm happy it's functioning properly now but this is definitely the most finicky device I own. I'll assume that there's something iffy about this particular one I have as it shouldn't just stop working and suddenly start working for no apparent reason. I basically decided to give it another try, firing the mod with the atomizer base screwed in at random degrees of tightness. Still 3 blink. I smack the bottom of the device with the base in on top of my counter. Fired it.. no longer blinking and I can hear the sizzle of the coil heating up. Wow. Guess it just needed a little spanking.

Thing is, when it is functioning properly, when I fire it, the button stays lit no matter if the base is in there or not. Earlier, it would just blink 3 times regardless of whether or not the base was in or what was connected to it. From reading the manual, the 3 blinks means that the battery voltage is below 3.3 volts. Doesn't make sense though, it was fully charged when this happened and should have fired in passthrough mode if that was the case.

I will still order another egrip though. Just in case this one decides to act up again.

Hard lesson learned:

Don't fill your eGrip up with alcohol to try and remove remnants of an old flavor with the base uninstalled.

The result is a dead eGrip. Going to let it sit and see if it comes back to life, but I'm not holding my breath.

At least I didn't pay anything for it.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it comes back to life for you.
I wonder if there really is a way to flush the tank thoroughly and safely?
