Well, its day two and my Evod is still working great. I just saw that iVape has these in multiple colors and also coil assemblies in 1.8 ohms and 2.5 ohms for about $1.50 each. At that price the coils are truly disposable. If they last me a couple weeks, I’m just throwing them out and starting with a new one.

Were you using the T2 or T3 prior to the eVod?
I'm new to vaping and started off with the eGo Twist and Kanger T2 and T3. I would like to try the eVod but, I am not familiar with cartomizers and how they work???

I like the bottom feed idea because tilting to let gravity do its job is just awful.
i used t3s and the first one i had was great until i burnt the wick. i gave up on um.

O and day 3... flavor is extremely muted now. :\ im not happy. the wicks and my juice are dirty. i have taken them out and rinsed but to no avail.
i have been running strictly Boba's and i suspect that the thick vg is probably to blame. Harder draw and no flavor. starting to get a plasticy taste too. if three days is all i get out of a clearomizer and i gotta replace the head then i really should learn how far a carto will go without needing cleaning.

if there is an engineer i can make you billions. GIVE ME AN EVOD WITH NO WICK!

..evod with no wick" I don't think they have wickless ego-sized tanks. I tried removing all the wick and leaving just the coil in a T3 head, but it flooded and was useless. Maybe if I took the metal tube off the coil head exposing the coil and grinded down that lip so it goes back together leaving a smaller hole it might have not flooded, but I didn't think of that at the time. It would probably work without flooding if there were a bulb you push that drips one hit worth of juice onto a coil mesh (so it holds it and doesn't drip down into where the air intake comes from) at a time. Like a bulb/pump button on the side of the tank that keeps it sealed when it's not pressed so it doesn't leak.

I'm still confused about using T3 heads in an EVOD. Now that people got them, do T3 coils just look wrong in an EVOD but there's no chance of leaking or what? They don't screw in all the way and vice verse? What if I dremel out a bit of the half of the air shaft that's inside the tube, not the air shaft connected to the coil head? Will it then screw all the way on but ruin it for when I run out of T3 heads and buy the right EVOD coil heads? Or do I not even have to worry about it and they just look wrong but work flawlessly?
thanks

The T3s are fairly simple to rebuild as it is, just have to have a narrow pair of scissor to snip off any excess wire. Some friends of ours has a booth set up at the local flea market and I picked up a set of hemostats and surgical scissors for $2 the other day. They make rebuilding a T3 a snap.

These Evods are going to be so simple, we will be rebuilding them just for the fun of it.

just bend the excess wire back and forth and it will usually snap off flush with where it should and not cause a ground short.
Yea, the stock extra flavor wicks on T3 heads are little strands and even fall out sometimes when I mix juice inside the MT3 by shaing it. I use %!00 VG and it's not too thick to replace the flavor wicks with another full sized piece without getting dry hits. Seems to fix any gurgling too.

I'm still confused about using T3 heads in an EVOD befor I place an order. I'm gonna buy a few heads with them untill I skim through the 9999 page safe wick material thread and there's probably a 999 page one for learning all about wire too, so untill I get around to that, I'm just gonna use replacement heads plus I'm giving some coils to someone who probably won't be rebuilding them.

My Evod starting gurgling and leaking a bit after day 2. A bit frustrating as I had it on my SD Keyring, which can be easily destroyed by one or two drops. I am hoping a rebuild with 3mm silica will solve the issue.

Just out or curiosity, how much leaking did you get? I been getting a tiny bit of liquid on the battery after a day of usage. I've come to think thats normal. I got it with CE3s, Stardusts and T3s too. Is the SD Keyring an auto batt?

I hoping I can get a couple weeks out of these coils without modding. I've had to do a lot of modding with the T3s, and I'm just getting tired of it.

I first noticed some gurgling and reduced air flow. I removed the Evod from the battery and noticed some liquid on the adapter. Only a drop or two, but that is enough to kill an SD Keyring. Yes it is an auto batt.

I blew out any excess liquid through the connector end into a paper towel, attached it to an ego vision spinner, and after vaping for a few minutes all was back to normal. I have yet to find a carto or clearo that will work on the SDKR with zero chance of a single drop getting into the 510 connection. The ego-510 adapter does provide a small amount of protection from liquid, but I don't want to take the chance of destroying yet another one of these great little batteries. I guess I will be sticking to the vision spinner 400 with the evod's from now on. Still a nice and small setup, but the SDKR with Evod was stealthy as can be, considering the liquid capacity, and it performs really well... Oh well i guess...

can someone please answer this for me so I don't have to order Evods first and then maybe shipping and wait again for coils
if T3 heads are a problem:

When installed on the Evod tank, the only major difference in appearance is that the T3 coil base has a knurled finish, and the Evod coil base is smooth and shiny. There is a slight gap between the coil and tank when using a T3 coil on an Evod tank. When I say “slight”, I mean maybe twice the thickness of your thumbnail.

As for performance, the T3 coil seems to work just fine on the Evod tank. I get a tiny bit of liquid on the battery after I use it for a while, but I get that with every clearomizer I’ve used. Other than that, I’m not getting any leakage.

I’d say if you like the size and appearance of the Evod tank, but want to use up your new T3 coil assemblies, go for it. I wouldn’t do any modding to the tank; the gap isn’t that noticeable.

I got mine in today, liking them so far. Performance is about the same as the T3. It seems a little easier to fill, there is not a lip inside the tank where the transition from the threads to the tank body was in the T3. I also like the shape of the mouthpiece a little better than the T3 as well, it feels a little more comfortable and it not as long.

The opening from the mouthpiece into the tank is larger than the T3 as well, almost big enough to fit a q-tip down through. Be careful though, I pulled a bit of the q-tip cotton loose to make it fit down through there and it came off when I went to pull it out. The tube narrows just slightly at the base of the mouthpiece and also where the coil assembly butts up to the air shaft. The cotton ball was a pita to get out once I got it stuck in there, lol.

I like the looks of it, maybe people won't tell me it looks like a crack pipe now...:D
