Yea T41ck gave me his kanger t3 and to me its weak and tasteless. I also had dry hits with a stardust. I havn't had any luck with clearos, nova ect. I dont know if there are any ways to mod the t3. Might be worth looking into. If you are looking to get a rebuildable, try the VZ bottom coil from vaping zone. Its not the best rebuildable but I've not had any dry hits and vapor is good. Quality is not that great but for $15 it is a good vape and easy to rebuild

I have had pretty good luck with the T3s.althoug I do get leaking issues, from time to time. I have found that certain juices can build up on the wicks causing them to not wick as well which i guess could lead to a burnt taste. If I leave juice in the T3 for a couple of days, I usually take off the bottom assembly and wipe it with a paper towel to get any build up off the wicks. It seems to tie me over until the next cleaning or rewick/recoil.

Funny, I have some 30 Kangers. 2 are T2 top coil, 10 T5 top coil and the rest are Bottom coil T3,MT3 and T3mini
Have 4 loaded right now.
Haven't had one give me any problems yet.

Helps to know what you have and how to use it though.

but I am now getting this sort of plasticy/gross taste when I vape
Are you keeping it filled or almost empty now? Juice sitting near the coil may be changing from heat exposure. Not much in the way of plastic around the coil. Dry hits will also cause nasty taste. Thicker juices may not be flowing well.

I also had the same issue with these bottom coil clearomizers. I have heard very good things about the kanger T3's but IMO they are not preforming the way I expected.

Try a rebuildable clearomizer, as I find these to be much more satisfying.
T3 is rebuildable and easily tweaked to perform with any thickness of e-liquid

I also had dry hits with a stardust. I havn't had any luck with clearos, nova ect. I dont know if there are any ways to mod the t3.
It isn't luck, it is knowledge. All of these can do the job. A simple search will provide plenty of useful information.

I have had a similiar thing happen with a few of mine on thinner juices. Most likely you are scorching the wick. At least that is what happened to mine. To check pull center post on coil, remove top 2 wicks and look at the coil wicks. Crusty burnt looking and there you go. Juice starts leaking into battery well instead of staying on the wick.

Thanks for the replies. The taste has just been off and on for me. I'll get great hits that the taste is exceptionally great, and others taste a little funky. Maybe it's a mental thing because I vaped the stardust for so long with the gross taste. Who knows lol. Other than the occasional weird taste, I do have to say I am enjoying the T3. Would like to try Cartos in the near future. Any recommendations? I have a standard 1100 mah eGo battery.

Update: I figured out I myself was the MAIN culprit of the gross taste. Since I was use to the coil being on the top of the clearo, I was continuing to point the PV up like I did with my previous clearo. Now that I am pointing it down, the wicks stay soaked with juice and the vapor being produced is thick and very flavorful. Guess sometimes I blame the device itself too quickly, when in reality it is me causing the problem! lol

Glad you figured this out, but just a heads up - I usually clean mine before vaping for the first time, since it seems that sometimes they have some kind of a primer on them that will cause a funky taste. Some you can vape right out of the box, others need to be cleaned first. I clean them all just to be sure.

That's good to know, I was unaware of this. Will make sure I do this from now on. Thanks man!

i've given up with the kanger style clearos

t2 - one in ten will vape well, the rest have that awful burnt taste that usually accompanies insufficient wicking. AND if you subject them to any amount of heat they leak like crazy
t3 - same problems, lack of wicking and constant leaking

i even rebuilt some t3's in a variety of styles to improve wicking, but no luck.

will be sticking to drippers (A7 and 901's when i'm too lazy to build new coils) and the good ol' punched carto tank

That's good advice. Thoroughly washing clearos before use is a smart thing to do.
