I think if kanger put out the best tank to ever be made in the history of vaping, the aspire fans would still say negative stuff. It's too large.... but in reality, less capacity than the nautilus. It's innovative, so it must be hype. :p

Anyway, has anyone seen one of these at an actual store yet or just pre-order status online still? I'm curious if we'll see it locally before Christmas? A local shop says he's bringing in 10 to start but that will be a while.

Any rumours on a kanger brand mod to drive this thing? if not, what do you think would be a good battery for it?

There are several youtube videos that are very good. Captainkanger.com claims they will have it the 2nd or 3rd week of December. But we know how that goes.
If you will be running the 1.2 ohm bottom coil, you can run it on a provari, vamo, or similar device. I've got a vaporshark rdna 40 to run sub-ohm atties or kanger's .5 atty.

Will Kanger be selling the RBA coils as well? two comes with the kit. it would make life easier for slackers like myself that want to try the rba now and then but don't want to make the coils.

I was looking at the iPV mini to drive this because it's not that expensive but .5 is the bottom of it's range... would that be asking for trouble?

ONE local shop has the SUBtank in stock. The rest have no idea when. This one shop is selling it for 75$ Canadian after our 15% sales tax is added. I "thought" about it. Still thinking about it... I try to buy local when possible but that's a large step from online prices.

Anyway, it was nice to actually hold it in my hand and get a better look at it. It's not nearly as large as what I expected. I guess the people that complained about the size of this tank, really won't like the new 10ml capacity one that Kanger has coming down the road.
The SUBTANK isn't a handy size for carrying around, my opinion. It'll be great for at home, not having to fill it as often as a 2.5ml tank. The workmanship of the tank and pieces are typical Kanger.... makes the other tanks look like last year's tech.

Coils are not available to buy yet... that's not news. And they are going to be expensive. The shopkeep seems to think they will last a lot longer than we are used to with past Kanger coils. He made a big deal about coils from my Genitank or Aero v2 also working in the SUBTANK. I kinda want to hear if people are finding leaks from using oldstyle dual coils in the SUB.

I'm going to buy this tank.... just probably not at 75$ CA.

edit: Kanger has a mod coming that works with this tank. It's not going to be cheap either.

They fit ALL the dual coil kangers except the mini models.

VapOrnomics...
Thanks for the coil video. Looking forward to seeing that design taken apart from the pin upwards though so we can see it in more detail. I do believe from what I've seen so far that it too can be rebuilt. Maybe not in the same way, but it surely opens the door to other creative coil configurations.

hate to argue but you are now wrong- these coils will not fit any other tank except the subtank(so far). they may make a coil to drop in the older tanks like aspire did with their BVC coils but they haven't done it yet and it won't be designed to vape at higher wattage for safety and economic reasons. why would they make a coil that is exactly the same for older tanks?- they want you to buy the subtank and why would anybody get the subtank if all they had to do is get those coils and put them in their older kanger tank? doesn't make much sense.....

Peter, once again you are proving to be argumentative and yeah, totally wrong. At the time Katrider made the post that the Sub Tank coils were designed to fit previous Kanger tanks like the Aerotank line. So Katrider was 100%, unequivocally, and unarguably right that those coils would fit other tanks. They were designed to do that. But Kanger jumped the gun a bit and found their design of the coils were not what the market wanted, and were not going to be well accepted. So they designed new coils (twice) and the final configuration is the coil that are no longer backwards compatible.

So while you are correct that the current coils cannot be used with older tanks, it is disingenuous and misleading to say Katrider was wrong. Actually you are wrong when examining the time frame reference and the product available at the time of Katrider's post. It would have been much better for you to respond saying the, while at the time Katrider's post was correct, the current coils available after the multiple redesigns are not compatible.

Ive had the subtank for a couple days now. As my first rba this is awesome. Nailed my first coil right out of the gate, 1.4ohm single coil build and some ko gen do kayfun style is working very well, tomorrow hopefully i'll find out how it deals with some thicker liquid. Once I pick out a new flavor I really like i'll give the clearmizer coils a whirl. Im really pleased with it so far,

For those of us who are transitioning from a clearomizer to a rba, it works well. I want the flexibility or a clearomizer, but I also want the ability to build my own coil. If I fail at building a coil, I can always screw in a clearo. There is a market out there and I am one of those.:)

Absolutely agree with you and i love this tank i can pop a coil in and have a great tank with lots of juice while im driving or at work but then when im at home and want to throw the rba section on and build away. The flavor and cloud production are amazing on this tank and will be my goto from now on.

Been running the sub tank for several days now. Stopped in a local shop Christmas gift shopping & they had a small pile of them. Early Christmas for me :). Really liking this tank so far. Flavor's really good, though not quite dripper good. Mostly been using the stock heads. Tons of air flow. Tried it with the RBA section - better flavor but less air flow.

Funny, I'm usually a mouth-to-lung kinda guy. Enjoying lung hits with this though.

Running it on a Hana without the 22mm adaptor. Larger than the cut-out, screws down to the body, spring loaded pin makes a good connection. Been staying around 20w on the 1.1 ohm coil.

I received my subtank today. Using the 0.5 coil that came with it. Vapes very nice. currently using it on a Hana Modz DNA 40. The thing is built very nicely....BUT it is BIG as hell! It would be great if it was 22mm. It just dwarfs the Hana and the Vapor Sharks....it looks huge on anything I put it on. It might look good on a 26650 mech mod. On my mech mods it's huge and heavy. It just looks out of place on everything I put it on. It would be nice if they come out with a junior version of it.

you do know what the word "now" means right? if you read my statement then you know that i was talking about now not some time earlier. little sensitive aren't we? the coils are not NOW compatible with older tanks- that was my point to avoid any confusion. that isn't argumentative it is a fact.
