thanks for the reply, that seems smart considering on the ego the wholes on the tank were very very small, i tried restricting the airflow a little and its a little better but when i inhale the throat hit is very wierd. its hard to describe it feels like theres somthing in the back of my throat its not like a nice pull from a cigarette it like stays back in there. do you have any suggestions on temperature or wattage, also do you own a kbox nano? what other settings are there besides those that change how it hits? thanks for the responses btw greatly appriciated.
sorry it's been a while.. I don't own a Kbox nano, but I own several variable voltage/wattage/temp systems. With these systems, you control one of these settings.. etiher wattage or voltage if you run kanthal/nichrome, or Temperature control if you have a coil that supports it.
Again, I'll try to be brief, so things might be a bit over simplified. Generally, the lower the ohms, the thicker the wire. The thicker the wire, the more surface area there is to the juice, which burns more. It also burns hotter and cools down slower. This is true for the wattage/voltage settings. With temperature control, the ohms are low, but that's because they use a different low resistance wire, so that isn't as much of a factor than the temperature control setting.
normally, the kbox setup comes with two coils, a 1.5 ohm and a .5 ohm. This may sound strange, but I prefer running my coils at 4.0-4.2 volts, but keep the device in wattage mode. Depending on which coil you use, that could mean a totally different wattage. For the 1.5 ohm coil, I set it for 12 -13 watts. For .5 ohm coil, I usually set it to 30-35 watts. That is with 1/4th to 1/2 open. if you restrict it more, you might want to lower the wattage some.
I do run temperature control, and I usually prefer it at 325F which is fairly low.
Now, as far as the "something in the back of your throat", it might be because of increased heat. if I have the temp setup too high, as the vapor hits the back of the throat, it tends to linger a bit. the only thing I would be concerned with, is if you're setting your mod too hot, an burning some of the cotton and mistaking that for throat hit. Singing the cotton will cause a rather harsh hit. that's called a dry hit, but if it's on the fringe of a dry hit, it can be harsher than a regular hit, and not be as noticable.
hope this gives you some help, or at least a starting point... let me know how things are going.
