New KGO setup no vapor, horrible throat hit...newbie here~

I just received my new KGO and had a 1.5ohm Dual Coil smok Tech cartomizer sent along with it to try. I filled the carto with Dark City Vapor (I believe 80/20) caramel coffee put it to my lips drew on it and practically keeled over. The flavor was so strong and there was so little vapor not to mention the harsh throat hit that nearly knocked me over. I am not sure if I overfilled it or if I do not have enough liquid in it, but I cannot use either the flavor of the liquid nor the cartomizer. It seems to get a little better after puffing on it for awhile, but still very little vapor.

Any ideas? I also received some boge 2.0 cartos. Once I stop coughing should I try one of those to see if it is better? I just have a hard time telling if the carto is overfilled or perfect. Help!!

1.5ohm devices are designed for pretty low voltage, if you surpass what the carto can do you run the risk of burning out of the coil. I think 1.5 is really for 3.3v devices. And just on the other side of that duds do happen.

I'd just move on and try the Boges.

Try the Boge. Drip the liquid in with it tilted so it hits the filler not the center hole. Do it slowly over a table when a drop hits the table from the battery side, stop let it sit five or ten minutes, then blow lightly through it to blow any excess out. Try it hopefully it's better.

Hi.....take a hit and hold it in your mouth for a second or two then inhale. Don't drag on it like a smoke. I have Kgo batteries and love them....put on a new cartomizer and try again holding it in your mouth before inhaling. Becca

Thank you for your responses. I did move on and tried a boge, and it is actually much better. I also received the liquids from Mt Baker which I said they were from Dark City Vapor but I don't know if that makes all that much difference. I am thinking that the pg is too harsh for me, but they only came 80 / 20 mix. I think I may also switch to some fruits instead of the sweet bakery and coffee ones. I filled the boge by the condom method and it worked great. Now I have another brand new dual cartridge that I will probably never use. What do you do with new things that you collect (juice, cartos etc)? I may try it again since PBusardo uses them on his 3.7 volt, and they seem to work fine.

From my personal experience, I also found that the Boge standard cartomizer works better than the original cartomizer that came with the DCT. Re-fill is much easier (less spills) and boy.. I love those cracking sound.. Good luck in your flavour hunt!
