Hi, I can only post in the new members forum because I'm new.

i just bought my first ecig kit, hoping it would help me quit smoking. I bought a S 510 kit, followed the instructions (unscrewed mouthpiece, put the eliquid inside the cartomier around the edge until it's 3/4ish full, screwed it on to a battery that i charged with the USB wall charger until the red light turned green. No matter what combination I use of clearomizer/battery, nothing comes out when I take a puff. No smoke or taste at all. i tried to leave it for a whole day, thinking it has to soak in or something.. reassured myself that it was charged and that the light really was green on the charger on both of the batteries, signifying that it is charged. Made sure I put the eliquid in the right place. The light at the end of the battery does light up when I breathe in, but nothing comes out at all with any combination between the 4 clearomizers and the 2 batteries.

Am I doing something wrong or is this kit completely broken with every piece? I am upset if that's the case, seeing i spent 65 dollars on this and the company is replying to me with 1 sentence no punctuation replies asking if I did this right or did that right (one reply was just "what light is on" when I wrote half a paragraph explaining that i did everything right and it's not working) when I demand a refund, skirting around the fact that i'd like one.

sorry, I'm a newbie and don't know if they're called cartomizers or clearomizers or what the difference is lol. I'm thinking it's cartomizer.

it's the S510 starter kit... if the batteries were duds, would they still light up at the end though?

I really can't tell. Its possible the cartomizers - if that's what they are - have dud coils. A link to what you bought or a photo might help. I really can't say, and the name of your kit is very generic sounding. Often these things are an elimination process.

That comes with five cartomisers and revenant said there are four whatsits. It's more likely this one: 510 S Deluxe Starter Kit With Refillable Clearomizers With 10ML - Ecig CANADA Zone

Their returns policy is naff, but I would have thought consumer law would over-rule it. It would in the UK -- if it doesn't work you can return it at no cost. I have no idea how it works in Canada.

If you are using it right -- see the video I posted above -- then it must be equipment failure. The battery is clearly working, since it charges and switches on OK. Is there anything stopping the clearomiser making a good connection to the battery both on the screw and on the centre post?

It may be that you screwed the battery into the charger too hard and that pushed the centre post in too far for the clearomiser pin to reach it. If so it should be possible to ease it out a bit with a bit of gentle and careful levering with a suitable implement.

Revenant - there is a Canada forum here:
Canada Forum

I think the site you bought the kit from is over-priced.
Canvape have better prices:
www.CANVAPE.com

Your batteries are 510 so you can buy 510 attachments, like cartomizers, from somewhere else. But I think the site you bought from should offer at least a refund or replacement.

If they are mini clearo's and don't have the wick on the top, that means they are bottom coil clearos. Try blowing them out from the bottom and see if there is liquid flooding the coils. If there is wick or threads in the top, try blowing them out through the top. Make sure you remove any excess liquid from the bottom before screwing them back on to your battery. If too much liquid is in the coils, that may prevent them from firing. Also, if there is any liquid where the battery touches the clearo, that may prevent firing too, even if it is dried. If it's dried, use a little 90% isopropyl alcohol or some vodka on a q tip to clean it off. Use VERY little on the battery if you have to.
