Newish member here...Have an oddity with some NEW LG HG2 batteries, wanted some opinions from memebers.

I recently purchased 2 new HG2's and promptly thru them in my VC4 charger to get them up to snuff before using them. After a full .5 amp charge, both batteries are showing a full capacity of around 720mah. Something doesnt seem right. Shouldnt these be reading close to 3000mah? They appear authentic (top cap is same as pics I've searched), and were brand new (no scratches on any of the terminal ends.

I'm new to replaceable 18650 mods, having moved up from my trusty, but battery challenged Cool Fire IV, and would like peeps opinions. Will the mah's go up after a few cycles? Even if they were sonewhat "older" from storage, shouldnt the mah's at LEAST be in the 2600+ range?

Thanks in advance for the replies

When you put the battery into charger, it should show the strength of the charge. My charger shows it is charging at 750 mah. The number you are looking for is volts. When they are done, it should be at 4.2 volts. Hope this helps.
