Hello, I'm Aldris! I'm new to this whole vaping thing and I'm lost in many ways. I'm trying to cut down / quit smoking eventually and hence thinking of vaping as an alternative.

I'm not sure which starter set I should get, but I've read reviews that Kanger subvod seems to be great to go. I'm open to other suggestions too and most importantly it's difficult to find a source to get these starter kits in locally since we cannot import it. Just wondering whether any kind souls out there can help me out..

Thanks loads in advance!

well i'm biased, I like kanger period... but a few questions:

when you smoke, do you inhale directly into your lungs or into your mouth and then your lungs? do you want something you will need to replace, or something that will grow with you? there's a kanger stick type that has a tank that can grow with you, hence me asking. i'm using the official site, because it has the best details about each device... prices can be better elsewhere.

kanger EMOW
Kanger Evod Mega Starter kit
Kanger SUBVOD Mega Starter kit
Kanger TOPBOX Nano Starter kit (Not Included battery)
Kanger TOPBOX Mini Starter kit (Not Included battery)

Welcome, where are you located so we can help you further.
Hello, I'm located in the north #sgvapers hahah

well if you're dtl... it's okay I'd think, but not for a mtl.

True, I guess.
I found vapor very harsh and didn't get into double figures watts (10w or more) until my second year.

Hmm, I kinda do both, dtl when drinking and mouth to lung when casual / socialising. Probably sth that I can grow with, but actlly I got a Kanger Subox Nano cuz of its pretty colour (lol) and I bought quite a strong nicotine juice (16mg, and wondering if I should sell them away and buy less nic ones since 16mg is way off normal ciggs.. but i do have a habit of chainsmoking cuz 1 stick is never enough --> so still undecided if i should keep or sell the 16mgs) Still open to more options on devices so I can learn more (and of course to determine whether the subox nano will suit me before I use it)

Edit: Actually I chainsmoke sampoerna 2-3 sticks each sesh, and I read that it has nic content of 14mg each stick.. \o/

you got the purple one.. didntcha?! lol actually, for subohming, less nic is better usually, there are exceptions of course. most that have tried the 1.0+ ohm, discover when it comes to subohming they cut the nic in half. there's a downside to the nano when chain vaping, and I do chain vape myself on the mini's... the tank can get really hot... hot liquid can leak through the airvents or change flavour a bit. I usually have two tanks handy for just this reason, one gets hot, I switch it to the other... I don't get vapers tongue so far either. as a side note, I just bought a pair of the kanger dripboxes... if my hubby is nice I will share them with him lmao.

Yes! Hahah the purple one is too attractive for me to choose over the kanger evod. Do you mind explaining what vapers tongue mean? Yeah, but I'm just gonna probably TRY to cut down to vaping once or twice daily instead of the 3 smoke sessions everyday. Moreover, vaping doesn't give a cigg smell on my fingers / breath (I think?)

no you will smell nice, even tasty!
it's a condition that can come on at any time... it's where you cannot taste the flavours of anything, can last a few hours to days. your pallet can also become bored with a flavour eventually as well, it's only with that flavour, but it becomes tasteless. I always have like I said two tanks on the go, mine are on fruity and one candy, and my hubby does one fruit and one dessert as an example.

one thing they repeat on here a lot and it's true... always have a backup... especially for your devices. this is where you can have the nano for say work use where you're sort of vaping less, and say a toptank mini for your nighttime use... one fails you have the other. for cutting back and for quitting smoking, this is important.
