New Magnetic screwdriver?

So one of my rda's came with one of those itsy bitsy screwdrivers for screwing in the post screws, and I was using it to straighten out my coil, and i accidentally fired it. Did no harm, but i plopped out the battery until i finished so i wouldn't do it again. When i finished, I tossed it into my bowl of crap and later when retrieving it, it had screws magnetically attached.

Did I just inductively magnetize my screwdriver on accident? Pretty sure it wasn't magnetic before that happened...
