First off, hello all, been creeping a while. Second, to the smoking world, "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

As far as the title, so glad to have found something to replace one of my mania stabilizers. Last analog was on 11/14, half a pack of Wides going stale in the center console of my car. Had one in the first day of vaping, and another two nights later when a coworker asked me to go burn. Realized it felt like air and the nic from the vape was plenty for me. Started at 24-26mg, already got 12-18 coming, used to be a half+ pack of Wides person. I like to chain(helps level out my manic self) and it's already too much.

Started off with a pair of 1000mah twists with ego-c type b's, a few boge 510's, a couple stardusts. Grabbed 2 510 atty's and some tips a few days later. Since then I've already ordered a small closets worth of juices to try, some tanks, rbas, diy materials for juice and rebuilds, and plenty of other toys.

Already found some of my likes/dislikes. Dripping is growing fast on me for flavor jumping, once my ce3's show up, i'll have a cheap way to test how juices i like will be in a tank without cracking anything of any value. Cartos are a bit harsh for my taste, but some flavors do rock in them and i'm hoping the dct's will balance that out some, especially with some 50/50 mixes. Loving my vivi mini, despite the wide range of feedback, I think it's a complete success (newest version), except that the 2.8 heads I got with it put me off til I washed it and metered it. It was putting little vapor, turns out it's 3.0/3.1 ohms, clean tank and cranked up to 4.5 and I'm in heaven even with a 100 PG in it (no leaks!, not a drop!).

My first untouchable flavor is the TFA Sweet Cream, although this is in a premix juice from a vendor, so I'm not sure how much flavor was used. Tastes like butter, and the TFA page does say it's one of the trace Acetoin containing flavors.
My first bad juice/hardware experience is a boge sr carto with a Pepsi knockoff, all PG. I do believe I'm burning some filler in it, the juice is fine in an atty. The carto will be donated to science. (read: autopsy)

I've found 2 all day vapes and a halfday vape so far. The first is the ever popular Energy Cow, the TFA based flavor. Second is BASIC OnTop that I picked up from Cignot, a soft cherry, tank safe so far. Just wish I knew the source flavor, it's pure VG, and too mellow of a flavor to dilute. And my halfday vape is a Dekang Watermelon, pure VG, which is too sweet, but turns out to a perfect mellow balance and wickable rate with a lil distilled in it. I definitely prefer mellow stuff if it's sweet, a dark chocolate over milk, graham cracker crust over the rest of the pie type.

My first mod is already coming, the Ego APV v2 (it's the same as a vamo). 50$ in the states sounded like a perfect price for my entry level mod and I'm not afraid to be an alpha/beta tester. We'll see how it compares buildwise to the vamo/zmax, pics look identical to the vamo, unlike some of the rebranded things usually having slight differences.

So, my first two questions are related. First, why doesn't there seem to be a solid/active wiki that I could find? Second, it's hard to dig up lists of stuff to see what exists/compare, so what (yes, IN YOUR OPINION, i'm prepared to evaluate), should I put on my list of stuff to try, with heavy emphasis on future mods (Mechanical, still don't get it besides durability?)? And last, got a gem that's not in a popular thread or something available in coops only that I should keep an eye for once verified?

TL;DR Hi, new lurker, ocd/read a lot, no more analogs, twist and entry level mod check-give standard provari/reo/other response please, whats new

PS(Bio stuff): Male. Humor type and book interest expressed in second line. Techie looking for linux group/programming mentor/hackerspace in SW burbs, also interested in finding people to teach welding/bodywork/anything else interesting, and of course vape meets: Realtime is too far except if I go to visit my buddy in Elk Grove (30 miles, ouch)

Welcome to ECF (my eyes hurt now lol) and we shall see how much we can answer.

First the ego apv is the vamo. and for a cheapo its a decent mod.
The wiki? well ECF has a lot of the information that would be in a wiki, lists of abbreviations, terminology, battery, safety etc.
All articles - E-Cigarette Wiki
The only rpoblem with a Wiki like page is Vaping is moving so fast for a static listing like this. every day there is a new mod, rebuildable atomizer, type of battery, set of clearo's, etc.
One of the Vaping GURU's is a guy called PBUSARDO,(look em up awesome reviews) he even tells you in one of his youtube reviews, "ijust ordered a version 1 before it came in the mail there is already a version 2 on their website".
and editing a wiki to actually keep up would turn into a 24hour a day job.

basically coming here and keeping up with some of the better known reviewers out there is all you really need, as for here on ecf it gets dissected 7 ways to sunday.

Ordering and recommending stuff for you? now thats even trickier, as so much of whats good and whats bad is subjective to ones own personal taste, and I do not mean it's subtle like burger king VS mcdonalds it really is 1/2 say this sux the other half think same item is sliced bread all over again.

so it comes down to needing a bit more details about what you like or dislike about what you are already using.

The coops - while really great idea you do not need them to enjoy vaping, some of them are just there to purchase things we can get every day at a discouted price, if you dont mind the waiting. examples are the zmax about 30% off, stainless steel mesh about 40% off
and If your looking at some of the more exclusive high end devices they arent there either you just have to wait till whoever makes them, restocks them.

once you have more then five posts you will be allowed to post in other area's and we do have area specific forums that can help you find others in your area.

sounds like maybe a carto tank (carto in a tank) would be worthy ibtanked or phiniac for that.
a rebuildable atomizer - these are everywhere, theres a new one every week.and we have an RBA forum just for that too if interested in finding one.
Clearos' well I use as well as recommend - Kanger T2 and t3.
personally if not using a clearo - i use a Rebuildable atomizer - current faves are the a7 and the AGA t-with clear tank (the ones I really want i had to get on a waiting listfor lol)
I also use cheapo 510 style atomizers for flavor tasting.

Im sure many people will be happy to recommend their fav items to you, but in the end it sounds like you will be like many of us here and have to just keep asking, keep playing and experiment until you find the sweet spot.
