If there's any chance any mod may fire in your pocket for any reason, best thing to do is unscrew your topper a couple turns. If the tank or whatever you use can't complete the circuit, it gives you another layer of safety. You're screwing with the locking ring each time you put it in your pocket anyway, one extra unscrew is easy.

Long story short I was a closet smoker and my wife didn't know. I quit smoking and started vapeing instead. She knows about it but doesn't like it. Any time I spend much money on it, it turns into an argument. I'd just assume avoid the conflict and pick up something less than $100 lol

Just find out what she likes to spend money on. Shoes, purses, kitchen gadgets everybodys got some soft spot. Bet its more than you spend on vape gear. Then the plying field will be level and you will be able to get the mod dreams are made of.

Some of my co-workers have the IPV 2 and they are pretty small! Slightly longer than a credit card from what I can remember and not too thick. Pretty light without the battery, but the pocket presense doesn't seem awefully bad. Shorter than an 18650 mech I would say, and pretty neat little units. One of my co-workers run drippers as well as his kayfun, so it should handle your rba.

Roxynoodle-welcome to the stingray club! I have a black clone and love it!

Well, one drawback is even though someone stated the cutoff is .2 ohms, 50 watts will approximately max out on a .353 ohm build (49.97 watts to be precise). My .202 ohm coil on a fresh battery (ignoring voltage drop, thats a whole other topic) should theoretically be at 87.33 watts (or it could have been 83.7 watts, its 3:40 am here and switching between tapatalk and vapors toolbox) so that is an extra 30 watts.

Is it a necessity? Probably not, even on a halfway dead battery (so not even the full 80 something watts) it is reallllly warm, and 2 second hits max, even though on my .317 ohm build I could do 8-10 second draws.

Once I have a fresh brain tomorrow I will give a little more feedback on weak spots on mechs vs. regulated devices, but I am gonna catch some zzzs for now. Also, I downloaded this chart on my phone and use it frequently, so feel free to do the same!

I'm sure Baditude will be back to answer, but it appears that the switch button is recessed enough to prevent accidental firing unless you have something in your pocket that's shaped just right.

I wish I could retrofit my 2013 Ram 1500 remote. They put wings on the buttons so that you have tactile feel in the dark. I put it in my jeans pocket with my keys and walk around in a store sometimes. When I come out to get in the truck, it's already unlocked. Design is everything. The really down side is that it also doubles as the key, so aftermarket isn't an option.

Sure you dont have a Passive Lock option? My 2013 Journey will unlock if I touch the handle and have the key in my pocket.

At first I thought you were referring to a lock on a mod, I was like: what's a passive lock? I want one! I guess "shiny-itis" got me thinking before I read it all. I will take that as a sign to get some sleep.
