Hello all, my name is David and I'm new to the forum. I've browsed it for the last week trying to get help on which E-cig to purchase as my first. Definitely seems like a friendly, helpful, and informative forum you guys have here.

My story is I'm 25 and been smoking analogs for 9 years. Recently my roommate and I were at a store and saw these disposable electronic cigarettes called "Krave". We both bought a pack of the menthol for 24.95 which came with the e-cig and 4 cartridges. What a rip-off, and I can't say it enough not to buy from them. My battery as well as my roommates died after only two cartridges which only lasted us a day of normal smoking.

So after a full week of researching, watching video reviews, and learning about e-smoking in general, I put in my order for a new shiny black Joye Ego with empty carts, 5 additional empty carts, and (2) 30ML bottles of Menthol 24mg juice from Liberty-Flight. I ordered it today so it probably won't be here until later in the week which will probably kill me first because I'm very impatient. It's funny, as I'm more aware of every analog I smoke and it just makes me more anxious to drop them and start see'ing improvements to my health like users here have reported in the "Success Stories" section.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and add my story. I also would appreciate any suggestions on what else I should've, could've or would've gotten for my Joy Ego that's on the way! I'm excited and have high hopes for quitting as I did enjoy the disposable e-cig for the few hours is lasted and I didn't want an analog.

Thanks all, happy vaping!

-David

The eGo is so versatile you'll be able to just about anything with it. You made a great choice there.

Once you get the goods and start vaping you'll have a better idea of what else you want/need.

You can try clearomizers, cartomizers, drip tip, tanks, maptanks, mega this-n-that.... the list goes on.

But to answer your question more directly, I probably would have bought a wider variety of e-juices just in case you don't like the flavor that you get.

Good luck!

Well....welcome to the forums....and to the "mailman stalker" club. Ha. The eGo was a good choice. And Liberty-Flights is a top notch seller....you should get your stuff fast. With the kit you will get two batteries and two atomizers. Sounds like you will have plenty of carts.....they are totally re-useable. You have enough of everything to get you started and hold you for awhile. With your next order, I'd suggest getting another atomizer or two (two would be better) because they can last for months or go in an hour. You don't want to get caught without one. Also, I'd suggest getting some BOGE 2.0 ohm cartomizers. A cartomizer is an atomizer and a cart all in one unit, and they can be refilled quite a few times. They're considered "disposable" so they don't (and aren't meant to) last as long as atomizers, but they sure are handy. They hold more liquid than a cart, too.

Also, when you get your kit, I'd suggest "modifying" the carts a bit so they will wick better and hold more juice. What I suggest is that you take the filler out of the cart, cut it in half, and put it back in. Then fill the cart up until it looks like a slushy on top, pop it on the charged battery, and go crazy. The eGo will be ten thousand times better than that POS you had, so you're in for a treat.

When you get your stuff, come back here and tell us what you think. Once you have it in your hands, it'll be a lot easier to coach you through any problems you might have.

I'd also be thinking about some tasty flavors of juice.....you need to try lots of stuff.....it's the fun part of vaping. When you look around for juices, find a vendor (many of them) that sells small 3ml or 5ml sizes and get several. You never know what you're gonna like 'til you try it. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the thorough replies. It's appreciated, and here is why I did not get many juice flavors. I smoked more than a pack a day, and I have been told I should probably use 24mg nicotine. The weird thing with Liberty Flight is the ONLY two flavors they had in 24mg was Menthol and Tobacco. I am not interested in tobacco flavored at all, but I smoked menthol analogs so that was spot on for me.

The reason I wanted to buy the liquid from them the first time is to ensure I got it at the same time or close to the same time as my e-cig so I wasn't left stranded waiting for liquid if it came later So I will most definitely start looking around at other e-liquid suppliers for some good flavors to test out because it does sound like a treat.

I tried searching this website on the forum but didn't find anything. Esmokeclub.com, I noticed their liquids are VERY cheap, MANY flavors, and are US based. They also advertise free shipping with orders over $20 and it all sounds like a steal. I would like to know if anyone here has tried them, as I'm wary with how cheap their prices are. I think it's 8.99 per 30ml bottle of 24mg nic. Sounded too good to be true with free shipping from a US based company, but then again I'm new to the whole thing. If I do order from them, I will definitely update you guys on shipping time, and how I felt the liquids were compared to my libertyflight ones.

Good suggestion on the juices, Rosa. Liberty Flights has those 5ml bottles for $2.39. You might want to get 5 or 6 of those to try different flavors without spending too much. The eGo is a good beginner PV (personal vaporizer).
