Greetings. I can't say how utterly awesome this forum is! It's been a lifesaver, so literally. So much information to take in...
I'm 34, married, own my own business, no kids. I started smoking as a teenager at 14 with my sister (we both started at the same time). Smoked maybe a pack a week til I was 19, then quit with no trouble at all. My sister smoked more heavily and quit in her mid 20s with a LOT of difficulty.
Then, for whatever ......ed reason, my sister and I both started smoking *again*, together, about three years ago.
Can't explain the logic there- well, there wasn't any I guess- except that even now, we're both bad influences on each other. (But we have such fun getting in to trouble together!) We both have been smoking Djarum Black cloves pretty much exclusively (you can order the real deal from Indonesia even now). I was smoking about 10 a day, she's at about 2 or 3. But, I couldn't for the freaking life of me quit this time. My husband was furious- understandably, especially as he's an ex-smoker too- and was seriously ready to leave me over it.
So, about a week ago after yet another huge fight over my smoking I ordered the absolute first e-cigarette I found online. I didn't do a lick of research- unusual for me- but on the other hand, I was desperate and just wanted it done NOW.
Anybody wanna guess what I ended up with? Yep, an overpriced RN4081.
Well, at least I just bought one overpriced battery and a few cartomizers.
Nevertheless, for being what's considered a POS here, it's actually worked for me. While I didn't smoke a heck of a lot, the Indonesian cloves have a lot of nicotine I guess, but even the 14mg nicotine cartomizers have been fine for me. Yep, the ones I have are some crappy faux-tobacco taste that are, granted, pretty wretched, but not nearly as bad as, say, a non-clove analog, to my tastes anyway.
Anyway, I've been sucking away on that dang thing and, finally, doing my research here for the last week or so. My husband is freaking thrilled I don't stink anymore; me too, for that matter, that it seems like it'll work for me. I can't wait for my egoT to come and the much tastier juices in the mail. Erm, I may have gone a bit crazy on the ordering-of-various-juices. A bit. Like, I have about 8 or 9 different packages on the way. Did I mention I don't think I'm saving any money yet

I really am shocked at how even with a not-so-awesome model of PV I'm actually not smoking. Or wanting to. It's a revelation. I'm definitely bringing the eGoT over to my sister's once I get it. I told her all about it and she was 100% on board, especially if we can find a good clove juice.
Even after not quite a week of vaping, I've definitely noticed my asthma has improved and I'm not as stuffy. I'm a HUGE perfume junkie, and I'm beyond happy to finally not have my perfume oils competing with eau-de-ashtray anymore.
I'm planning on gifting the RN4081 to one of my employees who's 70, has smoked all her adult life and had lung cancer last year but still hasn't quit. God, I hope she tries it and has some luck with it! I worry about her, she's had two different types of cancer the last few years and has a terrible smoker's cough
. Heck, I'd happily keep her in e-cig supplies forever if she'd quit the analogs.
