Hello ECF community!

After browsing the forum for a while I decided it was finally time for me to create my own account. I am 22 (23 on the 20th!) and I live in Illinois. I have been smoking cigarettes for about 8 years. I usually smoke Camel Light 99's and I smoke 1 pack a day. I am finally ready to make the conversion to "vaporizing". I have vaped other substances in the past, but this will be my first time with nicotine. Hopefully when my e-cig arrives I can quit smoking completely.

When I first started researching electronic cigarettes, I decided to order the "GreenSmoke". It has shipped and will probably arrive by tomorrow. It seemed like the GreenSmoke provided the most vapor for a cigarette sized model and was of the best quality...this was before I found this forum. From what I have put together from this forum community it seems like GreenSmoke is just extremely overpriced and NOT the greatest quality.

So anyway, I ordered a Vapor King from vapor4life.com the other day. My plan is to use my GreenSmoke until the FlavorMax cartomizers are gone and return it so I can get my money back. Has anyone had any experience with returning to GreenSmoke? Perhaps someone can explain the process involved and all that good stuff.

My Vapor King should arrive tomorrow or Monday at the latest. I ordered a few of their WOW cartomizers, but I plan on making my own juice once I am a little more experienced with all of this. Is the Vapor King a quality product? I hope so!

Comments/Suggestions PLEASE! Thank you :)

Welcome to the forum! I have read that people on the forum have returned their Greensmoke. Hopefully they can help.

V4L is a great company, excellent Customer Service! I'm sure you'll be really happy with it. Even if you don't make your own juice, buying juice and filling your own cartomizers is a big money saver.

Thank you! I am excited to finally be a part of this community :D

From what I can gather, it seems like they are a great company. I am going to start with buying my own juice and filling my own cartomizers but eventually I want to make my own juice too.

Do the Vapor King regular batteries last a decent amount of time? I will have 2 that come with my starter kit and it comes with a PCC as well.

OMG, Dormouse can tell you about them. I order them all the time for my Mom but I forget which ones I order for her, the Wow or the Cool carts. She really likes their carts.

I do order her carts from Ikenvape sometimes because they have really huge cartos for the KR808. They happen to be out of them right now, but they hold a huge amount of juice.

Interesting...

What can you tell me about these Riva e-cigs? I don't understand the difference...

I mentioned the battery earlier- about 1 hour - 100 mah

The Riva has a 750 mah battery so the battery lasts about 7+ hours.

They can be used the same way you use your KR808 as a two piece (battery & cartomizer) or they can be used as a three piece, cartridge that you fill with juice and attach to your atomizer, or by dripping juice directly onto your cartomizer.

Pros: Inexpensive, versatile, long battery life, accessories- tank, dual coil, clearomizers, etc.
Cons: Larger, thicker, about the size of a sharpie, appearance less like a cigarette

The WOW cartos are the hot ones 2.5ohms, and sometimes I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece instead of the end cap. (I get the 510/901/KR808D-1 drip tips at LiteCigUSA.net). Sometimes a WOW carto may be too hot for your lips. But those are the ones to choose if you want maximum hit. The Coolcarts are 3.4 ohms, significantly higher ohms so they are warm rather than hot.

When my nicotine was higher I liked the Coolcarts and used some WOW cartos. Now that my nicotine is very low I want all the hit I can get so I usualy use the WOW cartos.

BTW you can also use the cartomizers from SmokelessImage Volt, Halocigs G6, Bloogplanet

KR808D-1 battery charge
Vapor4life shorty/standard/xl are 180/280/350 mah
SmokelessImage Volt, Bloogplanet maxxfusion, Halocigs G6 220/320 (same sizes as V4L 180/280)

The Vapor4Life manuals have larger button and a mostly sealed threaded end, the others above have small button in manuals but a really totally sealed threaded end. I use all manuals - easier to get a good hit and batteries safer from being damaged or killed by juice leaks. If you got autos, be extra careful not to get juice on the threaded end of the battery.

BTW - if you got manual batteries, you can put a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip on a KR808D-1 battery to test juices. Only put juices you know you like into cartos. Drip tpis are not recommended on auto batteries but you could use DSE901 cartridges ona DSE901 atomizer.

Riva is a fat battery model 650mah and up - not slim. If you ever buy a Riva, definitely buy it at Liberty-Flights.com because they have the best brand of Riva and the latest model which is slightly higher voltage. Their Riva 510 is 510-threaded so it has the largest variety of stuff available for it, just not many prefilled cartomizers (lots of blanks, and Boge are most popular). The Riva 901 has fewer atomizers and fewer blank cartomizers available for it. However I heard the Liberty-Flights Riva 901 is the version with the slotted center post on the battery and that means many KR808D-1 cartomizers should be usable on it with no adapter needed (901 and KR808D-1 threads are the same but some 901 models need an adapter to use KR808D-1 cartos). Note - adapters are available from 510 to 901/808 so you can also sue the KR808D-1 cartos on the Riva 510.

The 808 batteries like you got from V4l are great, the battery and cartomizers are compatable with any 808/ they are all interchangable. If you like the 808's and you decide to upgrade or buy more batteries I would buy a riva or ego type kit. I actually got all of mine on the clasifieds on here for great prices or I just traded cartos and juice that I bought and didn't like/ (i like to stick with the 808 cartos so I use adapters on the 510 models, most 808 cartos will fit on the 901 riva or you can use an adapter

    in a cave, eh?
You might be happy with your V4L Vapor King for a while. You might consider getting a PCC, in particular the KR808D-1 XL PCC, if you haven't gotten one with your kit. Remember, the trick to saving money with e-cigarettes is to get yourself a good kit and stick with it. :)

If at some point, you feel you need to upgrade to something with a bigger battery, the Riva 510 is a good choice. And Liberty-Flights.com should give you a good deal on a kit. A 510->808/901 adapter will allow you to move your Vapor King cartomizers over to the new system.

Hey ithink, just wanted to touch base with you, since we're in the same boat. I haven't yet received my GS, but have been reading about returning it, and from what I've seen, returning the GS is no issue. They don't even knock down the refund for used cartos which is pretty awesome in my books. Hope you're happy with your new setup. I'm pretty excited about mine.
