Hey everyone, I'm Kevin, and I'm a I'm a Toronto local, web app developer and a big proponent of vaping! I'm new here obviously, but i've been stalking the forums for a while and really wish I'd jumped on this train much earlier now.

I've been using Youtube and Google for most of my information, obviously watch RIP, but I'd really like to start contributing as well. I'll introduce myself through my hardware/setup? Don't know how many people care, but i LOVE hearing about other peoples experiences. This is saving me so much money and I feel so much healthier, I can rationalize/justify spending more liberally.

I'm curious about the concentration of flavours that I bought from HV. I tried 10 and 15%, and I'm letting it steep now. I'll post some pics once I have sufficient privileges :), but they said they were food grade, and that ratio I used SEEMED good. I've been told it's all preference, and that it's safe to add more flavor after, but wont this mess with nic levels? It should be negligible IMO? :)

Welcome aboard. I don't DIY (yet) so I'm not much help on your question. But, logic tells me that yes the addition of flavor should decrease the nic percentage.

I've only been vaping for four months, and have found that a little logic can go a long way! Thank you :D I'd have to agree. All depends on how much I use in the end. I've heard people talk about concentration % of liquids. I know you can talk about concentrations of the flavor-mix, but just flavor-pg concentration?

Thanks for the welcome :D What juices do you enjoy most? :)

I DIY myself and depending on the flavor from 5 to 20% normally, I do have one that to get a realistic flavor I use about %, it's bourbon and I use it as a back note in other mixes. It adds a nice taste/essence upon exhale. I pre-mix my nic base to 12 mg/ml when I add average of 10% That drops me to about 10.8mg/ml If I'm mixing something I needs more flavor I can always do the math and figure how much more nic I want to add.

Oh yeah, I use an Innokin VTR with an I clear 30s on it, I also have a 134 that I use to taste and test with using an HH357 long barrel dripper. Plus about 6 others.

I have about 70 bottles of commercial juice, but my new mainstay is Bionic Vapors, JC is a genus when it comes to juices. If he touches it it's good.
I've got about 3/4 of a liter of premix,at about 70VG/30PG, 30 or so flavors, and 120 ml of nic.

Guess I'm sort of a juice junkie.

Wow i'd really like to have a juice collection like that ^_^!!!! I'm pretty well off but i tend to be a little conservative in spending on eliquid. I prefer to DIY everything cuz it's all so cheap, and fun. I've bought both the 30s and the 30, not a big fan of the S, though i understand why people like the looser draw compared the the 30! Do you like the HH357? Is that a hybrid?

Sounds like you're a good DIY-er yourself! And yes i've considered doing "premixed nic"... I thought it was a bad idea, but you've given me the will to reconsider. I'd love to learn more about back notes and flavour-hints :)! I always want to make my tobaccos taste more bitter, more like a plant and less like a fruit which i tend to find hard to do, but i'm a newb.

What do you think would be an interesting mix to try with what i have :)?

Hi, I'm also kind of new here, but I've read elsewhere that to get a cigarette flavor you should use the RY1 at around 2.9 to 3.25 percent. I've been doing some DIY and found that it taste better at 3.25, however I also read that the taste get better with more tipping. Also in another thread someone said that adding .5% of Black Fire will improve the RY1 flavor.

Happy vaping

Im not familiar with your brand of flavoring. I use TFA, not because I think its the best but because its convenient coming from the same place I get my nic, pg and vg. Anyways you asked for a fun idea to mix. How about 7% virgina and 1% Jamaican rum. You might want to up the Virgina to 10% but I'd be cautious to take the rum past 3% Most hard liquor flavors I've tried, albeit not many, have been very dominate and will over take the rest easier than you'd think. As far as adding flavor after I wouldn't worry about it affecting your nic level. You aim for 12 but its not a perfect 12. Adding 5% or .5ml to a 10ml wouldn't make a difference that you would notice in nic. Also I've found many flavors dont need steeping. It might help but they are often good right out of the mix. Tobaccos tend to need a little time.

    Welcome! :)
I use flavourart.it (italian flavours) for DIY mixing. I don't have too much experiences yet mostly because I'm a bit lazy lol. I went with DIY mixing because I don't want to get hung up on a premixed liquid and have it discontinued without having a clue what it contains.

I mainly use 5 to 10% flavoring, but steeping / maturing is also important. My ADV is RY4
