PG/VG % question

Been vaping a couple of weeks and have only been able to try 3 juices so far. Waiting on MVB to get the ones i want to try back in stock. My question is about throat hit and pg/vg/nic levels. I'm currently vaping MVB black licorice 12mg 80/20. I like the flavor but i dont like throat hit. I've noticed on some hits i dont even inhale. Theres not a big TH but i would like to eliminate it altogether. Would it be better to reduce the nic level or the pg percentage? I first started with a cig-a-like at 18mg and hated it so I went to the next lower level of 6mg. That didn't do it for me so that's why i went with 12mg for my first juices. Does the pg/vg percentages really do anything for TH or is it all nic? I've read things both ways. Any advice from someone with experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The issue I am having is that it is difficult to find out what ratio many brand name e-juices are.

I have been to the website of all the flavors I use, and most vendors do not say what ratio their juice is.

I bought some Halcyon Nombomz yesterday, love it, and Halcyon's website does list that they are %70 VG/%30 PG. I vaped this flavor ALL DAY and experienced almost no throat irritation. I think I will be trying to only get juices that are a similar ratio, if I can find out what ratio they are.

There are some vendors that keep their recipes proprietary so they don't give out the percentages. Then there are others that do say what they use. Then there are some that will let you customize what you want and even give options to add menthol or other flavorings. I think the toughest part of vaping is finding the flavors and the right amount of PG/VG that you like.

It might be more expensive but I've learned not to buy big bottles until I've tried the flavor first no matter what the reviews say. A review might sway me to try that flavor but it doesn't mean my tastes are the same as the reviewers.
