Long time viewer as I've always been interested in vaping but never actually thought I would started vaping. Though it'll be nice to say to everyone here and let people know a bit about myself.
Here's my journey :)

Ive been smoking for about 18 years now. I did stop for about 6-8 months when my first son was born but stress got the better of me and was back on it again. I have now stopped and have been happily vaping for about 5 months now (quit smoking the day my 2nd son was born). As much as I hate to admit that I'm using my kids as an excuse/reason to quit smoking but this time I really want them to be the 'reason' for me never going to go back on the smokes again.

It's hard when everyone around you smoke and as much as you want new friends and family members that doesn't smoke, that's just not an option.

Vaping has helped with my smoking routine which used to be: morning smoke, morning tea smokes, lunchtime smokes, afternoon break smoke, after work smoke, after dinner smoke and night time smoked.

There's still so much to learn. Looking forward to learn a lot on here as there's so much information that I can use from DIY mixing to building my own coils etc.

Nice meeting you all.

Welcome to ECF imtezr! This is a great place to sit back and relax and learn a few things or two.

Wonderful people and everything you need to know is right here. And making your own juice takes it to the next level - I just started a month ago and now will never look back.

That's my other goal. I need to convert my father in law but it's going to be a challenge. He thinks it's all a gimmick so I need to convince him haha

lol... good luck with that. I have nothing but smokers around me too and when I join them OUTSIDE for a puff they all look at me with bemused stares.

I've pretty much started mixing and trying different coils. There's so much helpful information on here, YouTube and the Internet that you can learn so much in so little time. I'm so grateful for the amount of effort people put in for newbies like myself to learn.
Enjoying vaping very much and can't see myself going back :)

Tell him to use it to cut back on smoking instead of quitting. That's how I did it with my father. Now he is down from 2-3 packs a day to 1 pack lasting almost a month without trying.... :)

Wow that's great. I need to find out what's suitable for him as in the right PG/VG ratio because when I got him to try one with 50/50 he didn't like it as it irritated his throat. Getting him to try vaping for me to find out what works for him is like trying to fed medicine to a child. Refuses and just runs away.

It may irritate his throat as it is a different substance being inhaled. I am sure that his throat was irritated when he first started smoking. ;) Soon enough it would be his smokes that irritate. But you could always try a lower pg as well. Also, when he puffs on an ecig, have him take a smaller drag as it is very different than smoking. I run into that a lot. People that smoke want to inhale it like a regular cigarette. Every single one of them coughed. I had them start out taking a smaller puff than normal which usually end up not coughing. Hope this helps.

It also helps if he has places that do not allow smoking inside as he would be able to vape instead. My parents stay at a lot of motels that do not allow smoking but he vaped while inside and if he wanted a smoke, he would then have to step outside.....making it an inconvenience to smoke.
