Hello all
I am looking to change from analog to vapes and was looking around the forum to see what type of e-cig I should buy. I am a medium to heavy smoker I guess. I seem to go through a lot of cigs when at home but I do not really smoke them I seem to just light them while I am on the computer and have a drag or two and then when I look down again they are all gone so I have to roll another. I do smoke during coffee breaks at work also.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what type would be better for me to get me to quit analogs?
I am looking at 3 or 4 different ones now and can't decide.
1) joyetech eGo C 650mah starter kit
2) joyetech eRoll
3) Joytech eCab
4) Redds Premium Starter Kit

I kind of like the thought of the manual battery as I seem to lay my analog cig down a lot now.
Any help with this or any other suggestions so I can pull the trigger and get off analogs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

manual or auto won't matter. The manual you can control the amount of time that the coils heating and some auto's turn off after a few seconds is the big difference from what i gather, but i'm just a noob too  I have a volt from si that i like when i'm out and about because it looks like a real cig and an ego T for when i'm at home. I got the dual coil cartomizers with the ego T and they were just too harsh for me but now that i've tried a single coil on it i absolutely love it. I've found that i have to vape a lot to keep sane. I still have an analog or three in mornings and if i feel i need one i just go ahead and have one. I'm currently down from about a pack and a quarter a day to well under half a pack in a weeks time so i count that as a win so far. Personally i find i would rather vape than smoke because it just plain tastes better. You'll find it's a bit trial and error to find what works good for you. I spent a few bucks just finding what i liked and then i started saving.

I checked a few places that have the twist starter kits. I have not dealt with all so I cannot speak to their service.

There are plenty of other options. Even though I have upgraded over time, I still use my ego-t and ego-c twist batteries daily.

Hello Andrew79
Thanks for your reply. Glad you are down to half a pack a week, as we are in Canada did you go with 0% nicotine or did you find someplace to buy that has the nicotine and what strength do you recommend? I smoke PJ menthol tobacco now.
Am in Winnipeg and cant seem to find any shops here to go and look and feel the different models and types.

Welcome, I'm new here too. I was going to suggest starting out with an eGo kit, but I see you already are considering it. Wise choice, IMO. I started out using the stick battery kits, but they aren't as satisfying.

Hi Mountain
I take it when you say stick battery kits you mean like the eRoll and the Redds?
Thanks

if you are going to vape much outside in the cold I also recommend you look at joyetech ego-c twist or vision spinner. This winter I realize my basic ego-t won't do it in the cold.

The ego kit is a great idea. I loved mine. If you need/want something cig sized, the eRoll is awesome. It uses the ego c atomizer and a small tank. It hits like an ego c but it's almost as small as a cig. The pcc is smaller than an iPhone and lasts for 10 hours or so. It is the best performing cig-a-like I have ever used. Now I hardly touch my egos, because this small device is exactly what I've needed all along. You can't go wrong with egos or eRolls, in my opinion. Good luck!

Hi and welcome to ECF neighbor.
After 5 posts wait 1 hr for the ECF servers to reset and request a Cdn Vendors list:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...w-nic-supplier-list-via-pm-only-part-2-a.html
Best and least expensive Vendor in Canada with the latest gear (no biz or personal affiliation) and ECF listed/ verified is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...w-nic-supplier-list-via-pm-only-part-2-a.html

Manual battery versus auto battery.
The manual battery puts us in control- with auto there's a shut off feature. Need a stronger= hold the button down. many of us also hold the button down for a couple secs before inhaling. Also because of air holes in the battery (manual batts are sealed) there's a chance of batt damage from juice.

I've ordered from the u.s with great results so far. only one stopped shipment and all it cost me was the shipping, had it resent and got it no problem. There are some good Canadian vendors out there as well. check the Canadian section of the forum to find them. One of the biggest ejuice with nic suppliers is in your town I believe. I smoker super lights so I'm good with 12mg most of the time but from what I've read on the forum most recommend higher. Take some time and do some reading on here and learn from some people with much more experience than you or i have. Good luck!!!

Thanks rotku for the links to new sites I have not seem before, I have just been looking at OnestopEshoppe and Happy Vaper here in Canada and did not see any others and these two do not have the twist starter kits, you can just buy the battery as a addon.

Wow I think this site is in collusion with all of the e-cig suppliers or my doctor lol. You people are so helpful and with lots of suggestions that I have no time to smoke any analogs with all the links and reading I have to do :) Guess I will have to be spending a lot of time here learning new things. I guess my RPG games will have to sit for a while.
I guess I narrowed it down to either the eGo C or the eRoll for now. The joyetech model comes with 2-650 mah batteries so I think I will go for that now and then get a twist battery later.
Thanks again for all of your help.

Hello Andrew79

Hi Melmak

I used to smoke MacDonald Menthol and PJ Menthol when I was too cheap to buy MacDonald. :)
I am vaping Siberian Menthol from Maple Leaf Vapes now. It is a stronger menthol than cigarettes but you'll need a fairly strong menthol to get the feeling that you are inhaling smoke. This is referred to as Throat Hit (TH).

You can get nicotine juice from most vendors in Canada. You have to set up an account with some before you see the nic juice menu.
I have dealt with and recommend the Canadian vendors listed below. They all sell hardware and juice but Canvape has the largest selection and the best prices on hardware. Maple Leaf Vapes has a huge selection of juices and is willing to mix custom combinations. Happy Vaper sells juices from other vendors including Maple Leaf Vapes. East Coast Vape is also very accommodating when it comes to custom mixtures. Their menthol is the strongest I've ever tasted. Almost too strong for me.
My first setup, other than the cigarette type, was from Happy Vaper. A USB passthrough eGo 650 mAh battery with a Crystal Vision V3 clearomizer, which is still my favorite. I also have an EVOD and a mini Vivi Nova.
To me this is a good starter kit. The passthrough battery will always be useful as it can be use while charging through a USB port. The other eGo batteries all have to be charged with the carto removed. You will want at least one additional battery anyway. I have a mini eGo 400 mAh as a stealthier setup but plan to get an eGo Twist or Spinner 650 mAh. They are variable voltage which allows you to deal with cartomizers / clearomizers of different resistance, 1.8, 2.4, 2.8 ohm.
The eGo type batteries are very versatile. You can use nearly any eGo and 510 threaded device with them but they are not the small cigarette type of battery.

I have the eRoll and really like it for when I'm out and about. Also bought one for my daughter. However, we both find the small cartridges a little bit of a pain so if you decide on the eroll get an extra 5pk of cartridges so you can pre-fill them and take them with you for the day. We both also have ego batteries with MT3's (I have the 1000mah twists and she has the 1100mah "pretty" ones). We use both setups, depending on where we are. I used Canvape.com and Eastcoastvape.ca and both were fantastic (also living in the cold north! LOL) :)
