I agree with Shadow17, I just got an eGo-CTwist, they have a good cig drawl. They come in some good colors, or you can get a silver one and they have stickers to dress it up. I have the longer battery, so it's a little bigger, but I like the battery life. You can also change the voltage for making the vapor as strong or weak as you like! I got the emerald green and my fiancé got "police box" blue. You can also get colored chambers, and pretty tips. Not to mention you can get some nice lanyards, so you can hang it around your neck. They also have some really pretty beaded lanyards. You can also buy just the clip that fits your mod, and make your own lanyard to match the color you get. I'm a girlie girl and I love this set up!:vapor:
Here's my apparatus;-)

Hey Blair, well thanks to you and Doris. You aren't doing to shabby on here yourself. Super Member already. If it weren't for her I wouldn't know any vapers personally. Can't wait to see your set ups. So, have you heard anything about the Apollo, Frii or the Volcano? If so, what are your thoughts. If not, perhaps someone on ECF may have tried them. I am so ready to make my next e-cig purchase. I keep posting reviews on YouTube and can't wait to review a new brand. If I don't graduate to mods or tanks, I'll still be a vaper right? :2cool:

Thanks guys for the information and welcoming me to ECF. I so can't wait to order my next e-cig. The e roll sounds good and looks sleek and elegant. The vapor looked good as well. I'll do a little research on it and let you know if I purchased it or not. What does anyone think of the Frii, Apollo or Volcano?

Thanks to you Brock957 and Doris. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't know any vapers personally. Can't wait to see your set ups. Everywhere I go, I am usually the only one vaping.

A mini ego might suit you. They are very short, though fatter than a cig alike. I don't have one, but I've tried them in B&M stores before. I've been very tempted by some of the options at The Vapor Girl.

example:

Super nice site for attractive ego's. Very fashion forward!

And to the OP -- yes, you will still be a vaper even if you don't go to APV's ever.

The Apollo, I believe, is fairly proprietary if we're talking about the same kit. Can't say I'd recommend it solely because of that, though I think they have adapters to make V2/other 808 cartos work on it, just a matter of them nickel-and-diming you for every little thing. Heard of Volcano but never done much research into them, and never heard of Frii either.

I'm with grimwald, tearose, and others who've suggested the Volt line-up, for a cigalike I don't think you'll be able to beat something like that. If memory serves those are 4.2v cigalikes as opposed to the usual 3.7, so you should get more vapor and a harder hit compared to V2/WC/etc. I may even pick up one or two of their batteries just to have an on-the-go setup that's more compact than my Vamo.

Also, customization options on the Volt are nice, pick your battery color as well as led color, so you could have one for every outfit if you were so inclined. They'll also take any standard blank 808 cartos/clearos if you're into refilling, my vote would be for a Kanger T4 clearo, despite some minor flaws here and there it seems to be the best 808 cigalike clearo I've used. If you're okay with cartos, they have your standard white/stainless/black blanks available as well.

Unless something has changed the Volts are 3.7 volt batteries like all the rest.
But unlike the regulated batteries they start out at 4.2 volts and drop down well below 3.7 before they start blinking.

It used to be that 510 batteries and many plain Ego batteries were regulated at a constant 3.4 volts from start to finish.
At some point they started making plain Ego batteries that were not regulated, but I don't know if the 510 batteries ever changed.

Last I heard the ERoll battery was regulated at 3.6 volts.
So the Volt would theoretically give you a stronger vape in the beginning, but a lesser vape towards the end.

If any of this has changed, I would be glad for anyone to correct me.
:)

Ah, no, that makes sense, I misinterpreted what I read about the Volts, they are definitely unregulated 4.2s, not regulated at 4.2v like I thought, so they'll be a better hit if you keep them topped off, which is a bit of a hassle given my experience with 808 cigalikes. I'd constantly be rotating two batteries on and off the charger, but since the ones I used were regulated I didn't notice any difference until the very last couple puffs, when I'd get about half the vapor, was a good clue they needed charging at least.

You guys are awesome. Thanks. Now I have something to go on. I'm going to order a "cigalike" tomorrow. I can't wait. I am really surprised at my V2. My vapor is still going really well. I haven't event used all my cartos yet. I think I am going to go with something with a clearomizer. Keep you posted.

Technically the V2 is already a cigalike, if all you want to do is try a clearo, swing by LitecigUSA and get a Kanger T4 in 808 threading, slap it on your V2 battery, see how that goes over. Only $2.25 or so plus a buck or two postage, and if you like it, you can grab more in bulk. I still use the 'basic' Vision 510 Nano even on my 5v mod and Vamo just cause there's no need for me to get anything fancier, I'm satisfied with the taste and vapor as it is. The 510 won't fit your batteries though, which is why I didn't recommend it :)

No experiance with either of the ones you're interested it. I have a ego style 1200 mah battery that has 3 voltage settings which was my first one. When you come over on the 27th I'let you try it with a vision Iclear 16 clearo. If you like it I'll give it to you + a pink lanyard and charger. I have enough back up devices now that it's not getting used. The battery is black but if you like it you can get some more colorful ones.

+1 for the eroll and a smaller ego (400mah - 650mah....i think) one of my buddies has an eroll and love it. They come with a carry/charging case roughly the size of a small smartphone. He uses tic/tac containers to carry the extra cartos in. Either way vaping is definitely a journey to find what you like and dislike. Just remember to have fun :vapor:

welcome! glad you're enjoying your vaping! the best bet really is to go to a little more advanced setup. not that it would be any more difficult to manage that what you're currently doing to refill your v2. better vapor means more power needed, so you will have a hard time getting more vapor and still having a very small form factor (unless you want to carry around multiple batteries). the evod tanks are pretty good, and they come in colors and a kit. also, the iclear 16 clearos are very good and produce great flavor and vapor, you could just find a colored battery to put them on.

After starting with V2, I went with the Superior Ego Kit from Apolloecigs. 2 900 mah ego batteries that will last you a day and a half, 2 ce4 clears, a bottle of juice and a charger for $69. Also you can find 20% of coupons online so the price gets super reasonable. The batteries last and last and last, and they're super easy to use and fairly small. They have really good ejuice also.

Just one important note about the eRoll: if you order a kit make sure that you order an extra cone. For some reason the standard kit has only one cone, but two batteries. You cannot use the 2nd battery without a cone. An extra cone usually runs about $2.00.

You'll likely be disappointed if you get a kit with only one usable cig!

You might also want to order extra atomizers and/or tanks. But those can wait as you'll have everything you need to get started with just the extra cone.

Good luck! Hope you enjoy.

Excellent reminder about ordering the extra cone; don't know why they didn't simply include two cones in the kit...

Another eRoll feature is that they use regular eGo Type A atomizers, which are available just about everywhere, so you can shop around for the best price on those.

Hello ECF,

I am a newbie and began vaping a few months ago. I started on a whim on my way to a friends house that didn't smoke. I picked up the the NJOY kit at a convenience store. It was ok to get me through the week I was visiting. That got my interest peaked, well, I had already tried the Blu and it lasted literally one day. Didn't like it at all. However, long story short. I ordered the V2 starter kit and some juices from MT Bakery. I refill the both the NJOY and V2. I like the V2 but already want to try another type. I really don't think I want the mods and tanks. I like the ones that are close to analog size. I am a girlie girl and like the look. My question:

Which one would you recommend for someone like me who wants to stick with the regular e-cig but want one that produces the most satisfying vaper? Any suggestions before I purchase my next e-cig.

Thanks guys.

Hi CosmicLady,

I am very new to ecigs. I started with a kit from AquaVapor. One of the two batteries worked for about a week, the other never worked. I moved to White Cloud, they have a summer special, 10 disposables for $24.95 + shipping. There is a topic on this forum that gives lots of information about all the different choices from White Cloud. They look and feel very much like a regular cigarette. I bought a greensmartliving starter kit from a vape shop in my area. The battery has lasted for more than a month (with charging) and appears very sturdy. I refill the cartridges by putting one in the little plastic end piece that they are shipped with, half filled with juice from the AquaVapor kit (a recommendation on this forum was the flavor "Black Tobacco" which has an authentic tobacco taste but is not too strong) that I bought initially. It is a very inexpensive method, tastes ok. I guess I'm not very fussy. I just enjoy sitting and puffing away.

+1 on the volt. Solid device. I too started by wanting a cig-a-like but have now moved on to bigger things. An evod on a twist really isn't inconvenient and the improved vape quality is worth the minimal increase in weight and size. You can try one out for like ten bucks and give it away or keep it at home if you don't like carrying it out and about. I think you'd be surprised if you gave it a shot
