New Member having issue with Ovale v8 PLEASE help

I got an Ovale v8 from AVT. Actually I got 2, they sent me the new one with the ohm checker & the older model. I am having 2 issues. 1. I used the older version once. I just tried using it again today & no matter what I do it resets to 5.0 & doesn't fire. Can anyone tell me what I need to do/avoid/ fix this issue. Also, I've be using the new version quite a bit, I love it. However over the past few days the stem has gotten loose. Anything I can do to fix this. Thanks in advance for your support.

I got one of those kits...haven't used the old version yet, saving it for backup but I love the rubberized one too. No idea how to help you lol, just throwing that in for the hell of it
