Hi,
I am a new member to e-smoking and started at about 4/10/13 and it's 25/10/13 now.. So It's a while, I guess. I've not done it too much to be honest, no more than 45 puffs a day, (Not every day, 3-4 times a week) Maybe less, but I can't say for sure. Anyway within the first couple days of having it I got ........ however, a couple days before I had been eating Kebab with my hands with my friends and I also had been drinking more liquids than eating solids. I don't know if that means anything. Then later I started getting eye twitches in my left eye, and I'm sure this means it's affecting the right part of my brain. I stopped for a couple days to see if it was the e-cigarette and it had slowly decreased, it happens for maybe 10 mins every 2-3 hours. This got my slightly worried because I thought I might have brain damage. Is this all normal? Please reply, I would appreciate it so so much.
Thanks,
-Will
(PS: This is my first encounter with smoking)

Welcome..

First off your not smoking. Your vaping. It is good to differ the two so to combat the notion that vaping is smoking.

Did you smoke analogs (aka real cigs) before vaping? If not then I am curious as to why you took up vaping?

As for your health issue... It could be a slight allergic reaction to the PG in your e-liquid. What liquid are you using?

You've never smoked in your life and now vape..ok.?.? Are you vaping ZERO nicotine??!? I would hope so, but if not..could explain a lot.

If you are now using nicotine, what strength? What ever strength it is decrease it right away. And yes, believe it or not, I too had some eye twitching when I first started vaping. It was under my right eye, by the outer lash line. I can't explain it and it went away.

I didn't actually really think about it until this was mentioned. But I was also going off cigs so I had a lot going on w/my body and the eye twitch wasn't a big red flag to me because I've gotten them before and it went away. I attributed mine to stress/muscle spasm, but that's just my assessment of myself. I'm not a doc.

However, with that said, your best bet is to see a doctor and if using any nicotine in ur vape, decrease or cut it out completely.

nobody here has brought this type of question up before, at least in the last 3 mos. since I've been here, and I have read lots of older posts and searched for tons of info on health concerns.
Please see a doctor if your conditions continue..

The thing is I think my whole family would be disappointed in me for doing this.
So I don't think I should go see a Doctor or GP. I've looked this up before and I read things like
"I had this too for around two months," Eventually it goes.
Also a very important thing is, me and my friends do this all together, two of them who did it most with me have had this aswell.

well...i dont know much about the UK...but any decent doctor should be legally and morally bound to keep information private.

unless of course you are underage or are a steward of the state or person.

also, what brands of equipment and juice are you using?

and to repeat what others stated, if you werent smoking before, then don't start vaping.

Eye twitching is usually harmless. According the the Mayo Clinic: Eye twitching can come and go unpredictably for a few days, weeks or months. The spasms don't hurt, but they can be annoying. In its most common form, eye twitching is harmless and stops on its own, although it may recur occasionally. Some of the causes of an eye twitch are:

Alcohol intake
Bright lights
Caffeine intake
Fatigue
Irritation of the eye surface or inner eyelids
Lack of sleep
Smoking
Stress
Wind

I get an eye twitch once in a while. Since you only seem to get it when vaping and it goes away when you don't, it's probably a result of too much nicotine or not enough water. It would be rare that you have some sort or brain damage without other symptoms.

The ........ can be a result of nicotine and any of the other ingredients. If your problems persist and you're not vaping, then see a doctor.

The nicotine may be causing some gastrointestinal issues. But neither of these problems can be related to vaping directly. I would advise you see a doctor if the ........ keeps coming back or last for more than 3 days.

Now... :blink:what's up with the eye twiches??? I have had those for years. I dunno what causes that for sure, as I never saw a doctor for it. I just try to ignore it and it stops after about 20 minutes. I have read that it may be lack of sleep and/or too much caffeine, which both seem to go hand in hand with smoking/vaping.

i have eye twitching from nerve damage...that and i like to lower bottles of lotion to captives in a pit in my basement.

its perfectly normal i'm sure.

to the OP: please take advice seriously here. stop vaping (and dont start smoking) and see a doctor.

or just rub some dirt on it, i'm sure it's fine.

You, my dear friend, never cease to tickle my warped sense of humor funny bone! It puts the lotion in the basket part of the movie is so creepy yet everyone remembers it! LMAO!
