Hi and welcome! Great links in the post above ^

:vapor:

Aww, yer just sayin' that .... but thanks. :)

Here are a few more:

A great discussion of amps, volts, ohms, and watts, and why dual coils make relatively little sense (IMO) for most people:

Various threads started by people wondering what the hell to buy:

Just for fun:

And both for fun, and for an appreciation of why we all need to quit and stay off of tobcco products:

This last one features the late Roy Orbison and the late George Harrison, who might still be around if he had vaped instead of smoked; a lifelong habit that he admitted that he just could not kick. Now we have something that is more enjoyable than smoking.

Rock on George, wherever you are.

Greetings oh mighty Slayer Of Fish! Good work on 3 weeks, you rock!

Them links are a good start, hands down, take a bit to read through em. Also don't be shy, if you have questions about anything PV related this is the place to do it. I haven't seens a new member post go unreplied longer than 5 minutes, and the folks here are very knowledgeable and friendly. There's a bit of a learning curve, but in a few days of poking around it'll start to sink in and soon you'll be here answering question.

Bumped mainly for the purpose of pointing out once more just one of the many reasons to help people get off and stay off killer ciggies. I don't know about Roy Orbison, but I do know that George Harrison fought and lost a lifelong battle against cigarettes, and then lost a battle against cancer.

If not for smoking, he might still be "rocking on".

From an earlier post of mine in this thread:

5th post!!

Good luck bro. whatever you choose. I recently purchased a Provari it's a expensive mod but it's the best I have tried and I am sure the benefit of it will pay for itself in no time. VERY Convenient as well.

Welcome to the best damn e-ciggie forum on the planet, congrats on your fifth post, and congrats on buying what is arguably the finest all-around APV (that's ECF-speak for ".....in' mod") on the planet. I don't own one yet, but that injustice will be righted in good time. The V2 is my "stranded on a desert island" choice - if the island happens to have a 110 outlet, and a case of juice happens to wash up on shore. Unlikely, I know, but "Be Prepared" is still a great motto to live by.

Now you can use your ability to post anything, anywhere (well, except "Ask the Veterans") to sing the praises of variable voltage far and wide.

Speaking of that, a quick question: Would you have considered a Prodigy V3 instead of the ProVari V2? The Prodigy has two settings; 5 volts, and 3.7 volts IIRC. If not, why not?

I ask that because I've never understood why anyone would advise a beginner to start with a fixed-voltage device instead of a variable-voltage one, especially since the introduction of the Joyetech eGo-C Twist.
