Hello everyone,

I go by Hotaru. I started vaping December 17th, and am really enjoying it. I have already experienced good and bad juices, and have even played around with making my own mod recently (toying around with the concept.)

I started smoking back when I was 18 (about 8 years ago) and I have tried many ways to quit. When coming home from a gas station after my family's holiday celebration my mom pointed out the electronic cigaretts in the window ad. She said she would buy me a pack of smokes if I also tried those. I decided to give them a shot, and here I am, about a month free of analogs and my sense of smell and taste are kickin again.

I started with the N-Joy Npro, due to the cost of the starter kit. I soon found out that there were other flavors out there other than Menthol and Regular. Being one who misses the flavored cigs, I found somewhere on here how to take the plastic cap off the cartos and started to fill them with the Smoov juice from a local shop.

About a month later, after running out of juice, I was back to analogs. I found from constant vaping, my batteries would last me about 2 hours, and take 3 hours to charge. My mom offered to buy me a different starter kit that was made for refilling. I went to the store, and with a small selection to choose from (and being very uninformed) I went for the Smoov starter kit. I picked up some Smoov and Johnson Creek juice from the local supplier and went on my merry way.

A few days ago though, my USB charger came un-soldered for the second time. Luckily I used to work for a stained glass shop and know my way around a soldering iron, and repaired it (although the LED now has issues... *sigh*.) While waiting for my batteries to charge back up, I started playing with my old NPros. I was able to make a manual USB passthrouh mod for my NPro with some stuff I had laying around, but plastic switches kept melting when trying to attach wires with solder.

I am kind of disappointed in the lack of e-juice selection locally though. I have tried the Smoov juices that they sell in the nearby city, and the store also sells Johnson's Creek. I do love the Johnson's creek, but sadly as the video review says... the Smoov has a twang to it. (I more feel it is a bland ick, but Twang sounds better.)

The e-cigs I have tried so far are the NJoy NPro, and now the Smoov. As much as I am liking the smoov, I am finding it hard to find a selection of upgrades for the K8081 model. I am thinking of going for a different system, along with a passthrough for it. I do a lot of vaping at my computer, and have a USB outlet in my car. I tend to have the issue of running out of my battery when running small errands, so was wondering if a passthrou would be right for me.

The other problem I have is my cart going dry while i am driving. I like the taste of a fresh filled cart, but they seem to go stale rather quickly. I don't care to multitask while driving, so I was wondering what other options there are. I love being able to vape, but filling and changing batteries just isn't as convenient when driving or working on something continually. I want to be able to stay in the groove when typing or filling out forms so I don't loose my place by having to take my cartomizer apart and filling the cart, waiting for the drops to settle, filling it some more, and then blowing any excess out.

Throughout this time, my searches on anything to do with e-cigs has found me back at this forum, reading again through the knoledge such a diverse community offers. I can't wait to contribute to this group, and would love to share in my experiences as they come, along with recive advice from novices and pros along the way.

Thank you very much for your time reading this wall of text

Changing cartos is a fact of life...It sounds like you probably just leave the battery in your mouth and vape. If this is the case, a larger battery/cart combination won't work for you (this would be best to give you a longer lasting carto) but you'll have to constantly be using your hands.

Your right that kr808's don't have many upgrade options. If you're going to get a new kit, I recommend a 510 style here. This kit will get you on-the-go charging and is affordable with a discount code.

You could then get a 510 pass through and use their carts. Their cartos should also be compatible with larger 510 style batteries.

For e-juice get on V4L's email list and wait a few days for a coupon code. they constantly have 30% off and up to 45% occasionally. You can get a number of flavors for under $10 a bottle (don't get "Gunslinger" it tastes like medicine).

Good Luck

Welcome to ECF!
Another option for not having to deal with changing carto's constantly would be getting a tank, eGo-C has awesome reviews and few leaking problems, but they ARE huge batteries (at least compared to the small ones you have been using.

The other option is to get a Carto - tank set up. I purchased (am still waiting on) a mini sub from Mom and pop vapor shop. It has some really great reviews but... Again it is a large item that will be at the end of your PV, so would be too heavy to just hold onto with your lips. It would, however, not require you to refill your carto's frequently and they wouldn't "go stale" as it would be kept at a constant dampness throughout the time you were driving.

Edit, I should mention I am new to the forum, as you are. I have been vaping for almost a year now though and have decent experience with ego-t systems.

Welcome to ECF!

Even though it was a wall of text, it showed you are trying, and that's what counts.

HAHA it was a REALLLY long post.

I caught somewhere in it that OP was buying from a "local shop" for juice. If you want to get the most bang for your buck order online and order in advance so you're never out!

Good point. Small bottles of various flavors and nicotine strengths is a great thing for finding one's "sweet spot".

Nice to see youve made it to ECF.

Like Serianna said, Ego-Cs will take alot out of the hassle of having to refill cartos and having to keep recharging batteries. However, the Ego-C's tanks are smaller than the Ego-Ts, but are easier to clean. I have an Ego-T type B and the 2 mls of flavor in the one tank can almost last me all day, I carry around the two egos with me almost where ever i go so im never out of juice. Liberty-Flights.com has some good deals on almost everything (dont forget to click the 20% off button), for juice id go to Bluemist vaping as they are really cheap and you can buy huge amounts.

If you want to stick with cartos, get a drip tip. makes it so much easier to refill. well atleast for my Boge cartos, I hate having to deal with taht stupid rubber cap thing.

and if you want a really good deal on cartos go to Crystal Clear vaping. make sure you get the right fitting
