First, a few questions for you.

1. Do you have an ohm reader or a DMM?
2. What mod are you using?
3. What battery are you using (brand/mAh/amp rating)?
4. Have you read up on battery safety, ohms law, amp draw?

Not a very smart idea if you want to avoid a catastrophic battery failure. Firing a rebuildable without knowing the ohm of your build or the amp draw of your battery is a recipe for disaster.

I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (our resident battery expert) and visit his blogs. You are now 100% in control of your own safety (and others around you). Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries.
