Welcome!!!

What type of e-cig do you think you would prefer? A cig a like? Something maybe a little thicker?
Based on your work and life schedule how long would you like the battery to last?
What type of analog cig do you currently smoke and how many per day? If you can answer some of these maybe we can better direct you to what would be good to start with :)

Oh and what is your budget?

I prefer a little thicker one, i just saw a vape on the internet and bought it as I do want to quit smoking. About the budget, I don't know lol I just started and see if I can just go with vape and totally stop smoking cigarettes. I bought the e-cig last week and started using it a couple of days. Any suggestions on what should I buy and where?

Welcome Traid, glad to have you here. More the merrier as they say!

There are a few questions that would help us give you a more definitive response.

You say you're a heavy smoker. I'm taking that as more than a pack a day? Or is it upwards of 2 packs a day? Or even more? Or do you possibly smoke cigars?

You said you bought a vape and just recently started to use it. What vape was it? You prefer thicker vaping equipment, so do you smoke cigars by chance?

Anyway...

First I will start with juice. Seems like you like a tobacco flavor. Unfortunate news is, there is no liquid on the market that tastes 100% like tobacco. You can get close, but you're comparing apples to oranges. Smokes burn material to deliver the nicotine. Vapes are mostly water vapor. Thus they are going to taste different, no matter how hard you try. You can get close, but it's never going to be the same.

But don't let that discourage you. Lots of previous smokers have found that they like flavors they never would have considered before, especially after they vape for a few days and their taste buds start to heal. For me I was a die hard tobacco fan, and tried several tobacco flavors like RY4 and 7 Leaf, but they just never really measured up. The one juice that I have found that suits me night or day though... is caramel machiato, like the coffee. Has nothing to do with tobacco, but still gives me that hint of tobacco burning but in a coffee vape, that is also sweet yet strong that seems to work well the whole day.

Also, it helps to know how much you smoke so that we can recommend a nicotine level. If you smoke more than a pack a day, then a 24mg juice might be best for you. If you smoke less, then an 18mg juice might be better for you. Who knows, you might even be happier with a 12mg juice. We can't say for sure without more information.

So ultimately, the question is what flavors suit you best and how much do you smoke? Do you like coffee? What about fruit flavors? Melon flavors? Citrus maybe? Or do you possibly like candy flavors like caramel? Or are you just die hard about a tobacco flavor? There are HUNDREDS of tobacco flavors, some made with 100% tobacco extracts.

We need some more input from you to really help you.

In the end though, to really succeed, I'm asking you to keep an open mind. There are so many juices out there, and taste is soooooo subjective, that nobody will be able to recommend anything that will help you 100%. But we can get close. Damn close. We just need a bit more input from you.

One thing I recommend is doing some research and buying a decent device/kit. You might already have a kit that will last a long time though.
One thing I see a lot with new vapers (im still sort of new myself) is they get all excited about ecig/vaping and buy the first thing they see whether it be an off brand at a gas station or at a mall. I understand the want for buying something and expecting it to work. Many of them do work great and for a long time but the sad news is many don't least not for very long. Many people buy a bad ecig , get frustrated about it not working and go back to cigarettes when give minutes doing research will save them money and frustration. Thankfully it's slowly getting better and better.

From my understanding most people will recommend an "ego" kit since it is about the same size of a cigarette and is usually decent quality. The come in all sorts of colors and bigger battery options and more advanced options as well.
many kits I see come with two devices, I recommend getting that, or at least getting another battery to carry around with you, don't worry they are small and fit in your pocket. Reason for another battery is you probably don't want to be in the middle of a stressful day at work or school etc and really want your nicotine but when you try to get a hit... Nothing which is very frustrating and leads people back to traditional cigs.

Now onto juices , most people want a tobacco flavor which is out there and a lot of them but it's not quite the same. I suggest getting a tobacco flavor and another flavor whether it be one modeled after your favorite beverage or something sweet like chocolate cheesecake. Trust me you'll grow to love the nontobacco flavors quick.
juices have different strengths of nicotine, usually 0 6 12 18 and 24 is what you'll find but I've seen some go up to 48 and I wouldn't recommend that. Yes the general consensus is vaping is extremely safer than cigarettes but watch out for your nicotine intake if you use high strengths, I started out with 24mg and it worked well until I started vaping a little more and more not for the nicotine which I still needed but for the flavor or even out of habit.
To much nicotine will make you sick, after a while I felt nausea and shaky but for most people when that happens it usually goes away after half an hour or an hour depending on your body maybe more or less.

Where to buy juice from? Online is probably the best place to look to be honest but if you're like me you get impatient or anxious with shipping. Thankfully more and more tobacco shops are starting to carry juices and sometimes kits.

Which are the best brands?
That's all subjective, people have favorite brands and flavors. Some brands version of a certain flavor will taste totally different , some taste like a cheap knock off and some taste AMAZING. Generally when trying nontobacco flavors try something simple like fruit flavors as in my experience it's hard to screw up to bad then when you are comfortable try more exotic flavors.
Juice or liquid is relatively inexpensive to get a decent tasting one. While you can get crazy expensive ones it's not totally necessary. Juice lasts longer than most would expect when your starting out but be sure to stock up a little once you find flavors you like as from my understanding they have a really long shelf life and many taste better with age. Though I wouldn't recommend leaving them in a car on a hot summer day or a freezer or anything. Generally room temperature is perfectly ok.

batteries and tanks etc don't last forever so keep that in mind but I wouldn't worry bout them dying completely within the first six months or even year depending on usage. Thankfully there are plenty of replacement parts for sale for fairly cheap to but as with anything you can always go bigger and and more expensive.
These things are not indestructible, I've dropped mine more times than I care to admit on concrete, carpet and so on and some have broken quickly and some still work to this day. If you're good with diy time things it's usually an easy fix but if you're not or just lazy like me just always have a backup or two...

Sorry this turned out to be a long rambling beginners guide but maybe I helped you at least a little.

I smoked both, but I prefer cigars. I bought a vamo v5 and I like using it. Can I modify it so it can produce more smoke? I am really clueless about e-cig and that's why I joined here on how to use it. :) And thanks! :)
