Hello Everyone. I have been reading the forum for awhile now and used it to make my second purchase. Like many I have seen, I started by buying a E9 (Greensmoke). It was okay, and got me off the analog cigarettes. I was a 1.5 to 2 PAD (it's so great to say was!) smoker for about 20 years. Unfortunately I found this site after I bought my first. After much reading and going back and forth and back and forth, I finally decided to order a KR8 from V4L. It arrived today and I have been vaping like mad. I ordered the XL batteries and I have to say I am impressed so far. I would have gone through 2 of the batteries on the previous one by now and it's still going strong. I really like this one, but admittedly I have only tried one other device.
I think one of the things as a newbie that really helped me was the advice that many gave to others about how the right device is really dependant on what your individual habits and traits are. At first I found it annoying when I kept reading "the best device depends onyour needs", but after awhile I really started to get it. See... i'm lazy (although I prefer to call it hyper efficient).
So it really helped me when some of the folks explained more about the devices upkeep, battery life, and the "extra work" to do upkeep. I did notice a couple of character traits that lined up with some devices:
1. Lazy (Hyper Efficient)/Me: I don't like to fiddle with things. I like to assemble and go. Two piece assemble and go. Low maintainence and most of all easy.
2. Fiddlers: Happy to tweak and twist and continually make things better. A different part here, and different process there. 3 pieces and Mods
3. Engineers: Looking to build a better mousetrap. I was too scared to read about these as on rare occasions is something tickles my fancy over it.
I don't know if any of this helps new or veterens reading this. Anyway that was just some of the thoughts I had while looking through the posts as a new member. Looking forward to what has been a great community and some awsome knowledge sharing.
Now to find a flavor I like. V4L 555... not so much
