Hello Everyone. I have been reading the forum for awhile now and used it to make my second purchase. Like many I have seen, I started by buying a E9 (Greensmoke). It was okay, and got me off the analog cigarettes. I was a 1.5 to 2 PAD (it's so great to say was!) smoker for about 20 years. Unfortunately I found this site after I bought my first. After much reading and going back and forth and back and forth, I finally decided to order a KR8 from V4L. It arrived today and I have been vaping like mad. I ordered the XL batteries and I have to say I am impressed so far. I would have gone through 2 of the batteries on the previous one by now and it's still going strong. I really like this one, but admittedly I have only tried one other device.

I think one of the things as a newbie that really helped me was the advice that many gave to others about how the right device is really dependant on what your individual habits and traits are. At first I found it annoying when I kept reading "the best device depends onyour needs", but after awhile I really started to get it. See... i'm lazy (although I prefer to call it hyper efficient). :p So it really helped me when some of the folks explained more about the devices upkeep, battery life, and the "extra work" to do upkeep. I did notice a couple of character traits that lined up with some devices:

1. Lazy (Hyper Efficient)/Me: I don't like to fiddle with things. I like to assemble and go. Two piece assemble and go. Low maintainence and most of all easy.

2. Fiddlers: Happy to tweak and twist and continually make things better. A different part here, and different process there. 3 pieces and Mods

3. Engineers: Looking to build a better mousetrap. I was too scared to read about these as on rare occasions is something tickles my fancy over it.

I don't know if any of this helps new or veterens reading this. Anyway that was just some of the thoughts I had while looking through the posts as a new member. Looking forward to what has been a great community and some awsome knowledge sharing.

Now to find a flavor I like. V4L 555... not so much

I'm so lazy I don't even like to refill cartomizers, so I just drip.

I find that taking out my bottle is the same as taking out a cigarette from a pack.
I find that taking off the bottle cap is the same as taking out a lighter.
I find that dripping the drops is the same as lighting up.

Planning a timespace in which to refill my cartomizers is just too cumbersome for me.
:)

Thats a great take for an at home plan. Did i read somewhere that a 901 atty will fit the KR8 batteries?

I have found that I like the WOW Kamel and the Premium Kamel from V4L. Not harsh at all. Today I received the Green Sour Apple and the Watermelon nobaccojuice along with the rest of my order. I will tell you what, that stuff is delicious. I loaded some in the Go-go and I'm in heaven...lol. I can't put this thing down. I like the kinda mild tobacco flavors, tobacco flavors with a touch of menthol, and experiementing with some of the fruit flavors such as those mentioned. It didn't take me long to learn to crack the window in the truck when using the Go-go so I can see where I'm driving. That thing is a vapor maker!

Bogey, welcome to ECF !

"Now to find a flavor I like. V4L 555... not so much".....what kind of flavor are you leaning toward ? Dessert ?

The v4l 555 is growing on me but i don't think it will be my "daily". Then again with so many choices is there really a daily? I have been leery about desserts and fruits. I am still so new it sounds a bit wierd. I did order about 4 sampler packs to up my carts to refill and try other flavors. I think I might like the coffee type flavors, but will see. My old unit had a nice vanilla which i liked, so I might try to find a good vanilla. Anyone tried the v4l vanilla? I like v4l since the are only a couple ours away so the shipping is very fast.

Did you try WOWbacco (and WOWboy which is the same w/ some mint)? They are cocoa tobaccos - mostly cocoa to me and are both in a WOW Tobacco Sampler. I do not like the 555 in with them - too too sweet and strong.

I also enjoy WOW Vanilla which is a sweet marshmallowy vanilla.
i just got that sampler pack like a week ago :D i like the WOW Cowboy, WOWbacco & WOWBoy not so much.

Yes, in the vast majority of cases, a standard 901 atty will fit on a KR808 battery. The threads are supposed to be the same. No adapter needed for a 901 atty either. I've done this myself, and it works very well.

I wouldn't recommend a LR atty with a KR808 battery, even the megas, but others have had luck.

Thanks VapingRulz! I ordered about 5 sampler carto packs to get a good feel for some of the flavors including the coffee sampler. I just worry that I have only 1 bottle of juice right now (the 555). I think its getting better, now much sweeter (I didn't shake it before filling) and at first it tasted like lighter fluid and burnt roasted peanuts. Looks like I will be ordering again as soon as the samplers arrive. I think the mailperson is going to need a holiday gift this year!
