Hi everyone!
I've been lurking on the forum for a couple of months now and I've gained so much from it, I thought it was time I started to contribute. I'd like to start by saying thank you to all the great contributors out there. I'm sure there are many more like me who have read and benefitted from your posts in silence without acknowledging it. It is much appreciated
My story:
I really wasn't planning on giving up smoking, but for some unfathomable reason I decided to try an e-cig in January 2012. I took about 2 puffs before it dawned on me... Why the hell would I EVER want to smoke tobacco again??? Needless to say, that was it. I haven't smoked a cigarette since, nor do I want to.
That first experience was with an E-Lite I bought from a late-night newsagents in London. After that I tried several kits, but most of them really sucked!!! One, called Sky Cigs actually made me want to puke, it tasted so bad. My favourite turned out to be another disposable, the Vapestick V2 Original. I loved it for the taste, but it was a bit weak. I settled on the Vapestick Max kit, because I like the Vapestick customer service, the cigs performed reasonably well and the taste was okay; though not as good as the V2, which was just too expensive to vape regularly.
I came to Berlin late last year and was amazed at the complete lack of quality ecigs in the general shops. I tried a variety of 'gas station' kits, most of which reminded me of the Sky Cigs experience... ewwwwwww!
That's when I decided to take things seriously and do a bit more research, as I didn't want to keep ordering stuff from the UK to get my fix. That's how I got to this website, and I also found a couple of really good shops that sold quality products in Berlin and Hamburg. I stepped up to the EGO-C, and have been really happy with it, except for one thing. It's given me the best vapes so far, but the performance from a freshly charged battery just drops away too quickly for me. I have a bunch of batteries, both upgrades and VV Twists, but I have the same issue with all of them. The solution? Bite the bullet and go straight for a Provari. I know it may be over-hyped, but you know what? If it's good and does what it's meant to, I'll be a very happy man.
That should arrive within 5-10 days I hope. In the mean time I've upgraded to Vivi Novas on the Ego-C. When the ProV arrives, I hope to try a HR Carto tank setup... any recommendations? I want a quality product that will look good on the ProV. (sorry for being vain)
Thanks for reading and I look forward to playing an active part on the forum.
Cheers,
*Aymoon*
