Just started with an Innoken 650mAh passthrough and two iClear 16 clearomizers. I really like it but would like to find a good glass/pyrex tank/cartridge/atomizer that holds a bit more. Anyone with suggestions?

Been reading A LOT and watching lots of videos. So Glad I found this forum!

miniprotank2v2
standard workhorse tank.
- glass
- eGo thread
- changeable mouthpiece
- common, easy-to-find replacement coilhead.

- you can get an airflow-control base for it

- you can use the miniprotank's base on a protank but to fill the space you will need to add an extra silicone cap like this:

Protank on miniprotank eGo base.

- you can dryburn and/or rewick the coils easily:

- you can recoil with kanthal:

It happens quick... quit smoking and start vaping, they said... You'll save money, they said... 4 mods and 5 RDA's later, on top of gallons of e-juice, I don't believe I've saved any money. Pretty sure I've spent more money.

My latest Mod and RDA order is the VapeTech Pegasus Copper Clone with a TOBH Clone RDA. Should be here soon, can't wait! The TOBH RDA looks awesome, I can't wait!

Takes 6 months to a year to start saving.

Got to define your monthly vape budget and stick to it.

I wholeheartedly agree with using a Protank 2 with an Aerotank base. I have 4 sets like that and love them. A great place (and price) for the Protank 2 and heads is here and the place where I get all of my Aerotank bases is here. The reason this specific tank setup is so so loved is due to many things:
1. The Protank 2 vapes great and holds a good amount of e-liquid.
2. It uses single coil replacement heads which are the easiest Kanger heads to rebuild and the cheapest to buy outright.
3. BUT, the Protank 2, while great, can sometimes leak through the base (bottom of the head). Using the Aerotank base seals the head from the connector making it leak-proof! This is a big deal. No leaking and flow control is amazing.
4. The Aerotank base also has flow control making for a much more customizable vaping experience.
5. The pyrex and steel tank is safe with any e-liquid and breaks down for easy cleaning.

Now, if you want a nice mod to go with it for a great price I recommend either a Vision Spinner (or eGo Twist), an iTaste MVP (love love love these) or the Vamo V5. These are all very popular, widely available and considered good low cost mods. The Vamo needs separate batteries and a charger but the others come ready to go right out of the box.

Gotta disagree with you there. Took me 2 weeks to start saving. Have never been in the red since. I don't buy mods cuz they look cool but do buy what makes sense to me. I started with a vv V3 and got an Ego pass thru for a back up. VV V3 died and picked up an MVP. (VV V3 has since been replaced by Innokin) Have MPT 2 & 3 and a KFL+. Got all the supplies to rebuild coils and DIY juices (about 50 flavors). Still am at about 50% of what I spent on smokes. It's all about need vs want.

Well that's true; if right out the gates you go DIY liquid plus you also go rebuildable, then yep, you're probably saving within a month or two.

pbxbelmar, I would agree that the protank2 with air flow control is a sold choice. I have several and they work great.

Right now 101vape has them for $8.99 which is a steal. They normally are $15 - $22

Kanger Protank II - 101 Vape

Misthub ships out of Chicago and they have the Kanger AFC for $3.19, also a real good price.

Kanger Airflow Control Valve

Decent setup for $12.25 (not sure about shipping) I hope that helps.

Edit: CorallineAlgae already had the links, just noticed that......

It's not a snark. It's a rebuke. Neither of you posted an appropriate response to her question. She did not ask about a new battery device.

"I really like it but would like to find a good glass/pyrex tank/cartridge/atomizer that holds a bit more."

  1. "Well you get more juice capacity when you leave the eGo stuff behind. A regulated mod, like the Vamo, or Provari if you can afford it, will mount an atomizer with up to 3ml capacity"
  2. "Another vote for the Provari. It was my upgrade path from my Vision Spinner. It’s a bit expensive, but worth every penny IMHO."

Do you see the pattern here? The problem this generates is when a new member specifically asks for information about the ProVari and people jump in claiming that no matter what the question, ProVari owners will say Just Get A ProVari.

Compare and contrast.

"I would like to get a bigger mod, I have $200.00 to spend. What do you suggest?"
  • "I love my ProVari! blah, blah blah..."

"I'd like to find a good glass/pyrex tank/cartridge/atomizer that holds a bit more than an iClear 16..."
  • "There is an iClear 30, but it would look kind of top heavy on a 650mAh, would that be an issue?"

I don't mean to sound harsh, but....

I don't know who you think you are, but you are nobody to "rebuke" me. You can disagree with my opinion and state your own, that's fine. But I believe name calling ("fanboy"), is a bit beneath you. Granted I don't know you, but you seem like a smart person and capable of better posts than that.

Actually, she is. :)

Since the OP was looking for a new tank, NOT a new mod, (she said that she liked what she had,) exactly how was your post helpful?

My problem as well...when I start to get into anything that's a bit "techie", I immediately start looking for upgrades and accessories that I just *have* to have! For example, just bought my first starter kit last week (2 x Vision Spinner 1300mah + 2 x Kanger MT3 clearomizers), and have already ordered an Innokin iClear X.I and Kanger Mini Protank 3, plus new atomizer replacements for all three, plus beauty rings for the iClear/Protank!

Anyway, I've been eyeing the Aspire Nautilus (5 ml). My co-worker who turned me on to all this stuff uses this and loves it.

So I'm just going to ignore all of the "how was your post helpful" and people picking sides. That's not why I'm here.

All of that said....

I love the Nautilus, it's a good tank. Just be careful they are dealing with a really bad round of heads. I've set mine aside until the issue gets worked out. Apparently they are aware of it.

I'm sorry you thought I called you a fanboi (gender neutral). In case it wasn't clear, I posted that when the suggestion to "get a ProVari" isn't specifically relevant to the OP's question, the people who hate ProVaris use it as fodder to call all of us who prefer ProVaris fanbois.

Since you can't answer, that's probably best.

I agree, I think the Aspire Nautilus is the best clearo available, but it's 5ml tank would be huge on an Innoken 650mAh passthrough. My recommendation would be either a Kanger Protank 2 (2.5ml) or an Innoken iClear 30B (3.0ml). They are both great tanks.
