New Member Just Trying To Get His Five Count

Hi, my name is Jeffers and have been vaping for a few years now and just wanted to ask some questions in the "The YiHi SX350 35W Chip at Varitube - in the E Cigarette Suppliers Forum forum" but found out I am required to post five times in this new members forum first. I have never seen this requirement in any forum I have ever joined. Seems like a way to get alot of useless posts but whatever I guess. If an Admin can change my account so I can post in normal threads it would be greatly appreciated. I don't know what else I can say in the new members forum to get 4 more posts. I currently use a copper penny mod with a plume veil rda. I am getting ready to build an SX350 100 watt mod and have some questions so that is why I want to post in the SX350 thread.

There are several reasons why the 5-post requirement is in place. I didn't mind it since the New Members Forum has stuff that I could participate and share my experience. Vapers get a lot of discrimination and talking (sharing) helps.

Hi Jeff, welcome to ECF. The 5 post ritual keeps the spammers away and is well worth it. Some days the mods have to delete many of them. All you have to do is post, not start new threads and wait for the computer to reset around 25 past the hour.

See you have 3 posts already. It really goes quick. When you see what happens when a spammer gets through (for awhile), you'll understand the purpose of the rule.

This forum is one of the most popular for anything vape related, so as you can imagine, it's prone to people making new accounts, just to spam it all up. Nobody likes that; especially not the admins who have to deal with it.

We have very good reasons for limiting new registrants to the New Member forum. ECF is hit constantly by hundreds of spammers and hundreds of spambots each day. While our anti-spam measure prevent registration for the majority, some do slip through and restricting them to just one forum makes the clean up in Aisle 3 much easier. If there were no restrictions, ECF would become a spammers paradise as we have hundreds of forums that can be posted in.
