New member legal question

Hi folks, I am from Georgia and quit smoking after 17 years in about a day thanks to my PV. These things really do change a person's life overnight.

Been lurking here a while and I have been very interested in the legislative section because the thought of having this device taken away now that I was able to stop using analogs is about to throw me into a panic. So I have a question, and this may have come up before buy my search didn't turn up anytthing, but canan individual or a group sue the FDA? What about news agencies that print falsehoods about PVs? I mean if they are trying to condemn people to analogs or nothing then why can't they be sued for using false information that could contribute to the death's of thousands?

The media is useless and Congress works for BT (why else would Weiner outlaw cigs by mail?) Oh, it's always about the children, save the children...so they mandate that little girls take cervical cancer (some disease) pills in school. You'd think the anti-smoking mob would shout from tabletops and embrace vaping, the best, most effective quit smoking method to date (imo anyway). Didn't they want us to quit? The FDA gets half their budget for approving drugs from drug lords (I mean pharma companies), classic case of fox guarding the hen house. You can try, but good luck going up against the legal-industrial complex.

I'm waiting for an answer to this one myself. It's a great question, and one that I have not even the beginnings of an answer to. I think what Dormouse is saying though, is that after your initial 5 posts, you can ask this in one of the more appropriate sections where you will likely get a better answer. Again...great question though!

Im a FAR103 Ultralight Aircraft pilot. An actual statement made by an FAA official once was "We dont make sense, we make policy").

I too think it would be embraced. But see, they arent getting all the tax $$$ from this. And this will help us quit so they would never see tobacco tax money from us again. The government always says one thing to be politically correct but does the opposite behind the people backs.

I just started this today. I sure hope they dont outlaw it. Ill find a good juice and stock up on it. ;-)

The FDA has been sued for approving certain drugs and policies they have approved.. As for the new agencies,its hit or miss ..If I am not mistaken there is laws about the media reporting false facts, but I think its a fuzzy line when its based on a false study.. But Big Corps, Big Pharma Big Tobacco all want this fabulous device taken out of our hands because it isn't taxed, it is a threat to their industries, and mostly the sheeple will believe all the evils they say are so, because they have your best interest
