hello everyone I just joined this forum 2 seconds ago. Long story short I’m very green to diy. I purchased a diy kit from a reputable vendor and the nicotine tasted like an ashtray to say the least it was horrible. I’m now looking to get reviews on Carolina Xtract as well as xtreme vaping nicotine in 100mg. The mistake I see a lot is people not telling what they’re looking for in they’re nicotine they wanna purchase. I’m looking for SMOOTH NO THROAT HIT NO AND NO PEPPERY TASTE. I am sorry to be so bold but I’m not into any of that as well as I’m looking for neutral as well meaning not going to mute any flavors. I usually vape Cuttwood boss reserve and mega melons so that what I’m looking for in my diy recipes. Any comparisons between Carolina and xtreme would be greatly appreciated thank you all ahead of time for you’re thoughts insights and wisdom in these areas. Also if anyone has a clone for boss reserve I’m all ears lol but don’t worry I know that’s not going to happen as I already searched lol. Btw glad to join you guys

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
Hi and welcome to the board. I don't know anything about the two nic bases you mention. I buy mine from MyFreedomSmokes and I get along OK with the flavor (which is why I have never switched). I also hear good things about Nude Nicotine, but haven't ever tried it.

If you want a smoother hit with no nicotine taste etc., nicotine salts might be the ticket. I use them exclusively and I believe some vendors offer free samples to try out. They are a bit more expensive but they don't taste like nicotine. I order mine from Nicotine River and have been happy with them, although there are others who don't like Nicotine River nic salts as much.

Best of luck with DIY. I'd buy small amounts until you find a nicotine vendor/product that you reall like.

Are you vaping the nic as an unflavored juice? That will certainly result in different tastes. If you add flavorings it shouldn't be noticeable. Also, what nicotine concentration (in the vaped juice) are you vaping at?
Eskie I will be adding flavors to the nic. I will not be vaping nic straight w no flavorings. I shoulda mentioned that and I apologize

I guess I should also mention I have done research and have narrowed it down to Carolina as well as xtreme. I am trying to get a little feedback on both. Perhaps smooth hit no flavor diminishing and no Th. I do appreciate everyone with their thoughts and advice. I’m not trying to start an argument here over who likes what nic. We all have different tastes as well as opinions which I respect. I will say this though I’m not on a budget and I do believe in most things you do get what you pay for. On that note money isn’t the issue I don’t care what it costs as long as it gives me what I’m looking for. I guess I could consider shelf life as well. I called Carolina and they said the freezer for they’re nic is a big no no so I’ll be doing the fridge. Thank you all for all you’re help and wisdom.

So far I think I’m going to order Carolina and xtreme and I will post my opinions on both for future people in the same boat I am. I will say this if someone out there comes across my thread by date or chance DO NOT BUY NIC SELECT AS YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST
Yeah, give us some feedback on Xtreme please. When I tried it yrs ago, it was so clean that it wasn't good for vaping flavorless. A good clean nic should allow you to use less flavoring I'd imagine.
    Have fun.

Hi, and welcome Robert. I'm not familiar with the mentioned brands, but it piqued my interest, so I looked at the sites. I don't mean to pick at you, but how did you come across Xtreme, and what research drew you to it? Carolina looked very legit...but Xtreme looks like a pretty amateurish site, with no real info about the company or product, even the flavorings. What drew you to them? Again, not picking at you, but just curious - kinda seems like- "I've narrowed it down to a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and a 1985 Yugo...";)
For what it's worth, I've been very happy with Nicotine River's nicotine. Quality stuff with a good rep, and you can save on shipping by getting a decent selection of top brand flavorings and diy supplies there.
