Hey, I have been doing a little research on the forums and I have tried some gas station cig alikes before but didn't care for them. I have recently started a new job and would like to try vaping but do it right.

I am looking for starter kit something not much bigger than a cig is portable and has enough battery with included batteries to last a full day. I work out of a truck so need to be able to charge in truck.

Here are two kits I have been looking at. Kanger Mini Protank 2 Starter Kit -VV and E-MAX PRO KIT

I know technology is changing fast and these kits might be outdated now. I hope you guys can point me to some other alternatives and tell me why they would be better. Thanks for the help.

Your on the right track with the Kanger kit. Since it comes with two batteries, should last you all day for sure. The coils are pretty much available at any brick and mortar store. Being that this kit is also VV (variable voltage) is also a plus to dial the voltage for what your needs are.

BTW, the E-max kit looks just a good. I think for what you're looking for, either of these is a good fit for you!

It is really going to depend on how much you vape. It is really nothing anyone else can answer for you. I am sure someone will come along with a basic general guide.

As for flavor.... It is so subjective! I would pop over to the E-liquid section and look at the reviews.
Are you looking for a tobacco flavor, fruits? Sweets?

I go thru about 3-5 ml a day of 24 mg nic a day. I vape higher voltages so I burn through juice a little quicker than some. It really depends on how much you vape though. I know that when I quit smoking I was using my ecig like a binky, I went though a lot a juice in that first month or so. Id say a good rule is 3ml a day to start with so about 90ml, but its really going to depend on you. Also, I smoked about a pack and a half of newports a day, so you might be a lot less than me.

ok so i suggest getting an ego v v2 mega passthrough, only need 1 batt, can charge it in your car, has a good battery life, you can see the life of your battery (you can charge it anytime, but it shows 4 bars fully charged and the light turns off when its fully charged) i do suggest getting the mini protank 2, it is glass and will not crack because of lemon/cherry/cinnamon liquids, well it wont break because of the liquid where as plastic will... gives you tons more freedom...

as far as liquid goes, if you have a local b&m go ask to sample some flavors find what you like... but dont think all flavors are the same...

there is a local b&m that the flavors are just terrible, not all liquids are like that...

my favorite vendor is mtbakervapor.com, they have some of the best deals on liquid out there... 15ml for 5.99 and if you spend more than 15 before tax and shipping they will send you a free 15ml sample bottle, which you can, most of the time request what flavor...

it is made when you order it so read the reviews, if it says it needs to steep or age, realize it might need a little bit of time to be really great, my wife however has liked most of hers (ones that typically say you should age) right out of the mailbox...

those are my words of advice to you...

i have the ego v v2 mega and its awesome, normally it gets to 2 bars with a day of full use... ymmv but its a passthrough so you can charge and vape at the same time... and i love the mini protank it is awesome...

oh yeah one other thing, most vv egos are spinners with set volts for you to change to the v v2 lets you dial in anywhere between 3 and 6 in .1 increments... very very nice

Regarding liquids, I second WikkedDuece in going to a local vape shop that has a taste bar set up. Find a couple flavors you like and determine the nic you will need. I smoked < 1/2 pack a day and started with 6 nic because I expected to vape more often (was almost continuous). It worked until I cut down on the vaping so I'm up to ~12 nic in the mornings and taper off in the evenings to 6 - 0 nic.

i use this thing for driving Variable voltage 510/eGo USB passthrough
you just pick it up hit the button and take drags until your tank goes dry. also if you drop it well driving you can pull it back to you with the cord. just don't pull it to hard. make sure you get the car adapter for it Cigarette lighter to USB power adapter 5V/2000mAh. this car adapter puts out twice the amperage than most car adapters. do not try to use the USB pass-through on your computer of gaming console it will draw to much amperage.

This kit looks like a decent price, and it is exactly what I use and have found to be what works well for me. You may want to order two of them. You could also buy the ego twists from VapeDojo for $20, the protanks (or minis) from litecig for $14, and a charger from litecig for $7.

A ton of different juice vendors, and though everyone has their preference, Mister-E-Liquid is my recent go-to. Every juice has been as described, and has a lot of flavor and throat hit.

I would stick to the suppliers listed on this forum, the only times I've been screwed over is when I didn't. As far as starter kits go, you can't beat these: DV eGo-T Starter Kit - Stainless - 900mah or these: Kanger eVod Kit - Stainless .
Then you can check out ECBlends and order a sample pack or two and start searching for flavors you like.
