New Member looking for newbie Info

I am a new member on the forums and have been vaping for 3+ months now. I have an EGO battery with Iclear 30B and PT2 tank.

I am looking for general information, mostly on tanks, but overall on stepping up vaping. I looked through the sticky's and the New Member Information Sticky, but was looking for maybe a blog or any other threads that would really help a newer vape fan.

First, welcome, and congrats on making the switch from smokes to vaping. It is a great adventure, and I know you will be happy you did this.

When you are a new member, you need to make at least 5 posts in the newcomers forum before you can post threads in the other forums. You can read anything in the meanwhile, but can't post elsewhere. Keep posting and you will have your 5 posts in no time.

There is a whole wealth of information here, and I know it was overwhelming when I first started, so just keep reading, and it will make more sense. Someone recently posted a link with beginner information all gathered in one place. I will try to find it and post it for you.

I learned a lot by researching tanks that seemed interesting and searching youtubes to see how they work.. For example, I saw a lot of mention about Kayfun lites and Russian 91% tanks.. I youtubed those tanks and learned how they are put together, coiling methods, filling methods, pros and cons etc etc..
I ended up getting a kayfun lite plus from tobeco because it has a adjustable air flow. My original reason for upgrading tanks was because I wanted more consistency, reliability and less leakage. In the week since I have owned mine, I have discovered a learning curve is needed to make it function properly. At first, mine was leaking out the adjustable fill hole, but I seem to have fixed that issue (hopefully) with repeated disassembly and coil rebuild/wick placement.
Perhaps a good starting point would be to identify the current issues you dislike and reasoning behind wanting upgrades (more power, vapor, capacity etc).

Welcome to the Fam! Congrats on the big switch! You will love yourself for it in the long run. There is a plethora of info here and a lot of helpful people to guide you along the way. Looks like we are on the same track so can't help much with a lot of info except that I Love My EVOD tanks. I have tried several different types and I like them the best! Just MHO! Good luck in finding what you are looking for.

I have been youtubing endless amounts of video's. Really good info there and good comparos.

Right now the biggest thing is looking for the best delivery system for the best taste of vapor, and also the most vapor I can find. I am happy with 900 battery life. And not really fond of large battery mod's. I am very mobile and like being able to put it in my pocket......I guess I could have one for when I am mobile, and one for the house. Only time will tell!!

Hey, we need a fist bump icon - I love my Evod's, too. Easy to use, they work well, and are not too expensive. They fit on all my egos and even work well on my new shiny MVP 2!

Am I wrong to say the Evod is less comparable or not as good as a PT2, or Iclear 30B? They are all bottom feed, but 30B is dual coil, and PT2 has larger tank and newer design?

From all the reading I've done on these forums, I've decided that preference about any kind of vaping equipment, devices, tanks, etc. and especially juices, is really a subjective thing. People will have their favorites depending on their experiences and also depending on their needs.

I like the Evods because they fit on all my devices, are easy to fill and use, and the vapor and flavor is sufficient for my tastes. I also like the fact that they are readily available at a lot of vendors, so you don't have to be on a waiting list for them to come back into stock. When I want something, I want it, and don't want to wait a week or so.

Also, they are relatively inexpensive, $5 or $6, and I can have many of them to load with different juices to change during the day. Some of the other, popular tanks start at about $15 and go up from there. There again, price is relative, and depends on the individual as to what they want to spend, or can afford.

Evods aren't a large capacity tank, but I'm retired and my time is my own so I can easily fill them. I can see if someone was out working all day, it would be much more convenient to have larger tanks.

All this trial and error and experimenting has made vaping into a great fun adventure for me, as well as succeeding in my Number One Priority - quitting smoking.

I agree the EVODS work great and are not much money, I take 2 to work with me and I'm set. You can also top your battery's with some ProTank II Mini's they also work nice and use the same coils at about $12 on ebay, and have glass tanks, so no crackers like plastic. GOOD LUCK!
