About four years ago I purchased an ecig starter kit from a booth in the local shopping mall. I believe the brand was "Number One Club" or something to that effect. This was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I was happy with the product for maybe a week at most before the problems started. The vapor hits gradually became weaker and weaker (didn't matter if the cart was brand new, or how hard I pulled; I was barely getting hits and what I did get was very unpleasant and unsatisfying) as the battery life seemed to grow shorter by the day, it eventually appearing not to be charging at all. When I went to return the product, the saleswoman happily replaced it with a brand new one- and I am not exaggerating when I tell you that all the same problems returned in a matter of days. I went back to cigarettes in short order.

These days, I experience chronic chest/throat pains and difficulty breathing. Apparently there is nothing officially wrong with me (yet) but I can't continue to smoke. I know myself and to attempt quitting without an alternative would be a pointless exercise. From what I have read on this forum, I believe my best bet would be to cut through all the BS and go for a high end AVP. I don't care what the thing looks like, I don't care if it's manual or auto. What I do care about is a serious throat hit, full thick vapor, and a reliable battery- just something that ACTUALLY WORKS and will continue to work and not leave me high and dry while I go back and forth with customer service reps. Can anyone recommend any AVP brands that really deliver? Thanks for your time.

For rock solid dependability, throat hit, battery life and loads of vapor you cant go wrong with a Provari from Provape.com. They are on sale now for 159.00 dollars or 215 for the kit. Its well worth it to get the extension cap to use larger 18650 batteries. Battery life on these is incredible when using 1.7 ohm cartos and a tank setup. This PV has a voltage regulator that keeps the battery at a constant voltage even when its almost dead so youre always going to get that same 'full battery" hit.

I started off with a KR-808 and experienced the exact same things you did, Switching over to a Provari was like night and day and honestly the best purchase Ive ever made in regards to vaping.

wow lots of options. Lowend are egos or ego twists. Any vaping supplier will sell these. They offer good battery life and plenty of power the twist especially because you can adjust the voltage and dial it in for what best for you. Coming up a little lavatube/varitube. These use li-ion batteries usually the popular 18650. They offer variable voltage and good battery life. Up still is the provari. Variable voltage as well and LI-ion batteries just does the same thing as the lavatube but with a lot more style and finesse. Keep in mind the LI-ion batteries need an ac power charger where the egos charge off of usb so figure what suits you best for charging. 2 18650s will last a long time so for me carrying a spare battery is no big deal.

there is power delivery options now the vapor makers.

Vivinovas are some of the easiest tank systems to use. easy to fill, hold enough juice, and produce clouds of vapor. The mini looks ok on egos and the regular looks good on the larger devices. There are other things like dripping attys and clearomizers but the options I'm given are in my opinion easy to use and good performing devices to start out.

The Ego twist is not a low-end device

Some feel one has to go directly to the top. Yes, the Provari is about the most reliable VV on the market. Many don't want to spend that much right off. My first successful device is an eGo Twist 1,000 mAh from My Vapor Store, and a Splitfire tank from Got Vapes. I ordered the Joye Ego-T, and asked for a Twist upgrade. The upgrade was an extra $9. I had to call them for the upgrade because I didn't see it on their web page.

Sooner or later I will get the Provari for myself because of the quality, and the fact they will repair it after the warranty wears out, but they aren't cheap. However, in a way they are cheap because all other devices are essentially disposable. One can drop a Provari on the floor and survive.

I dropped my $20 PV out the car from 7 ft onto asphalt.
Tiny ding.
So what?

It's not a stupid question. Yes, Johnson Creek is fine. You will need something to put the juice in, such as a Vivi Nova, or a Splitfire.

I have a really stupid question, if I buy that provari starter kit I just need to buy juice correct? Can I use juice like Johnson's Creek or is it too thick?

The op said he didnt care about the price he was looking for quality and dependability. Ive read a half dozen threads where people have dropped their twists and it stopped working or about the button breaking on them.

My Provari was in a side-impact collision between two trucks and came out of that virtually unscathed with only a few scratches to show for it. It was the other guys fault and I floored my truck to avoid being sideswiped but he still caught the last foot of my truck bed and spun me around knocking me into a ditch and popping one of the tires off the rim.

Neither my wife, our new puppy we had just picked up or myself were injured. The fourth thing I checked on was the Provari and it fired right up.You can bet I was vaping like a fiend when the cops arrived too.

Then I would definitely get a Provari.

As for the chronic chest pains and difficulty breathing sounds like you had a reaction to pg.I would recommend getting a juice with as little as possible (straight vg is had to wick in some tanks). I use a 10/90 pg/vg blend from Alien Visions in my carts and it wicks great.

Some few people are also known to have a bad reaction to vg.I would buy both and a couple of blends just to know for sure.
